Hey Riot, We Want MMR!

Riot,

You really need to find a way to show us our MMR and adjust how it is calculated. Wins/Losses are all that counts currently and that just doesn't work. We want to know why we lost 23 LP and only gain 17. Also, our W/L should not be the only measure of our elo. Win rate is a small part of the massive picture that is League of Legends. Think of Supports. Their win rate depends HEAVILY on the success the of their ADC as well as the rest of their team. Also, with the way some champions snowball, Katarina Draven Akali Fiora it just really isn't accurate.

DISCLAIMER : I am not saying these champs have no counterplay, just saying when they hit 3/0/0 at 5:00 you generally know whats about to happen.

Perhaps showing the amount of LP we stand to gain/lose before a match would push people to really play their best. If I see I stand to gain 23 LP, I'm going to try like hell to win.

Things I personally think should be taken into account for MMR: -CS/pm -K/D/A -Wards -Objective Damage

People want to see their numbers improve. Like our own little baseball card. Overall mastery score seems a bit pointless considering you don't even show us our average stats over 20 games in the client. I don't really care that someone has a 227 Mastery Score, I want to know what the winrate, KDA, Kill Participation, CS, and objective damage is. I mean, on the old client you kept track of overall creep score. (The Fuq?)

I truly believe a lot of the League community agree with this post. Hopefully this is something you can work out, since you have time for all these quality of life updates.

There's absolutely no reason to reward stats players/kda players. the post game grade score if anything should further support this. It's absolutely terrible for quantifying performance of jungle and support. In general stats are incredibly misleading and difficult to interpret for anything other than extreme examples.

the current system is fine- it has it's faults for your less than one ranked game a day avg player sure but it functions properly for regular players.

You gain 17 and lose 23 because you lost games at division 5 and instead of demoting you got to hold onto your rank for a bit longer because getting to that division 5 took a whole lot of work and a minor unlucky streak shouldn't cause you to drop out of that tier entirely.

Think of Supports. Their win rate depends HEAVILY on the success the of their ADC as well as the rest of their team.

played soloq janna/sona from silver 5 in season 3 to masters/challenger in season 5 and have had no issue maintaining that rank ever since.

The issue with MMR is at lower elo's like bronze/silver. Unless you're gold+ you're not carrying those games. Seems like every game in those elo's lasts 45 minutes, and the entire match comes down to one last minute Ace. High elo win rate is fine, because fewer people at your elo means easier balancing. Once you hit Plat+ you can pretty well bet that your team will be at your skill level. For example: I had +60% win rate on Swain, Lissandra, and Ahri in ranked. Now, I'm not a god. I'm still REALLY new compared to a lot of league players, but lets consider this, Bronze, and Silver are a bunch of rage fed, non objective targeting peeps with no desire to work with a team. I was that way too, But now, I can win lane, and usually help another lane get ahead as well (Mid lane main).

But the OBJECTIVE focus is INSANE, and god forbid you make a suggestion to take something because then its "dont fukken tell me what to do!"

I am not stupid enough to blame my team for all of my loses, not even most. Or even half! But I know for a fact things like trolls, first time champ picks, attitudes, and AFKs have costed me a good 10% of my games. Personally, My MMR sucks because of the losing streaks. I could go on a 5-8 game win streak, lose 4 and be back where I started. I'm always looking to improve myself, and now that I win lane %70+ of the time, I am learning more how to carry the other lanes. But I know for a fact, I'm not bronze material. Especially after winning 8/10 of my placement games on my other account and getting predicted Silver 2. Yet, still couldn't get above Bronze I on my main.

You may not deal with it much in high elo, but in low elo, games where one person does exceptionally well while the rest of the team gets annihilated are all too common. (Plus I see Plat & Diamond players talk quiet a bit about how games are decided @ 15 minutes thanks to snowballing.

Your MMR should take into account your wins/losses. But it shouldn't be the ONLY stat that matters. I average 150 CS at 20:00. I usually lead my team in objective damage, generally have a +45% kill participation, and do either the most or second most damage on my team. I should not consistently be the best player on my team, I should be climbing.

like I said, had no issues climbing out of low silver spamming support. it's not the ranked system that's keeping you down man.

I didn't say that mastery should be included in MMR, in fact, I more made the argument that if RIOT could show a stat that meaningless, they could put some effort into showing stats people want to see when they look for queue partners. And again, I'm not saying win loss shouldn't be the main portion of your MMR, I'm saying it shouldn't be solely based on MMR. Maybe, 50% win rate, 50% in game performance.
