Do you like having an offensive support like Brand/Zyra/Vel Koz/Pyke?

i'm just curious, i don't play either adc or supp, i was just wondering how people feel when they see someone locking those aggressive supports instead of classic janna-soraka-lulu. Does it bother you? Are u happy?

As someone who plays both roles (ADC and Support) I don't realy mind. It's better someone to get a kill than nobody, I understand It can be annoying, but the support role for me is boring most of the times, champions like Pyke or any offensive support make it fun.

Usually when I play duo bot with my friends they don't mind me taking kills as a support, my Pyke playstyle have make me new friends.

As long as my supp does basic supp things I'm happy with any pick. Just upgrade your supp item once, ward, don't take my cs (unless it's necessary for strategic reasons), and make reasonable efforts to keep me alive. If we are getting kills, I'm happy, and if my supp ends up carrying and we win, sweet. [sg-miss-fortune]

I feel like that's what most fail to comprehend.

They do want to win, but they don't want a win where they are "carried", they want a win where they stomp and are the MVP, so having supports that may end up taking kills is "bad for them".

The other way around is a bit different because it's Yolo que, so people wanting more agency as a support is understandable. I can be a godly Soraka but if my ADC is dumber that Yorik's zombies, all I can do is be a bit annoying and hoping the other lanes can carry and if that doesn't happen, it's gg, while a damage support can buy more time for his team by slowing the enemy which can swing a bad game a bit more often than what a good Soraka can.

In the end a win is a win and many don't want to win unless they carry hence the "You didn't help me when I went 1v5 for the YouTube montage so I'll int" mentality a lot of people seem to have, especially in lower elos.

I like it depending on who I am as a adc if im lucain I would like a pyke vs janna but if im kog I would like janna over pyke but what bothers me champions like brand and zyra where they can just win you lane from how much burst damage and that is not fun.

i don't really care what my support plays unless i'm jinx and then i'd rather have a tank or morgana than any of those.

i like playing mage supports even though honestly they shouldnt be this strong, i should never go into a match as support and end up being the carry

As an Adc I don’t mind when my support picks what may as well be a second midlaner. My issue is that it’s ALL I SEE.

As an ADC main I dont mind them but when I play with my premade we always play with catchers or tanks, and some enchanters if I'm playing with other guy that supports me some games.

I prefer the classic supports, but don't get mad at anyone's picks regardless. Brand/Zyra/Lux supports are basically second midlaners that make it so the adc has to rely heavily on farm to not fall behind.

I don't particularly like the playstyle of those champs in the support role. They offer minimal peel and must get ahead early to be useful later. My main problem is that the skill of that player tends to make or break the lane. Others can probably tell you that a bad Brand/Vel support can singlehandedly throw the lane and the game, whereas a bad Braum/Janna can still be useful later even if behind.

Another big problem is that people play these champs when autofilled because they don't want to support and instead would rather do damage, so many of them lack the necessary experience and it will show.

I dont tend to like offensive supports. Mage supports tend to just int my lane. Specifically because a lot of the ADCs I play just dont synergizes with them. Or they grossly over extend and get themselves in trouble.
