Isn't 15 minutes for not selecting a champion harsh of a punishment?!?!?!?!

dalphy08··3 votes·2,196 views

Who here agrees? It's seriously annoying to have to wait so long JUST to even que up again.......its honestly enough that you'd have to wait 5 minutes (because sometimes you need to get into a game with certain people), but 15? 15?! Come on..

no you are wasting other people's time. You deserve a 15 minute ban.

Not with EVERY damn time....how would you know if someone were wasting others' time or not? Lot of important reasons for not selecting a champion.

Eli Big Gay4 votes

Then don't queue up if you aren't sure you can play. You are wasting people's time by default if you ditch them in champion select, because they're trying to get into a game and you didn't let them.

You don't that they were trying to get into the game....if everyone wants to leave the lobby then that's an example of when it doesn't hold true. And not to mention that EVEN IF IT DID....it still is too fucking inconvenient. 15 GOD DAMN MINUTSE

Eli Big Gay1 votes

But how are you supposed to know that EVERYONE wants to leave the lobby? You don't. You really never will. They queued up, it's safe to assume they want to get into a game. And if 15 minutes is too much time for you, that's your problem. Sorry, don't agree with you.

That's because you're clearly not a very smart or stable person. Definite case of psychopathy you have; albeit small. But it's not fair nonetheless...all you have to do if you want to get into a game is just join one.....its a couple of buttons. I don't see how people can't just click again (the game doesn't even make you do anything if someone leaves, it keeps you in que) and join another lobby.

Whereas people don't have 15 minutes time to wait.

Otter4Blue2 votes

Sorry, don't agree with you.

it is an argument fallacy to attack the person making the argument. he already said that he disagrees that 15 is too long a punishment for not picking / dodging. your response is nothing more than a rant.

this is what you said. "you are stupid and do know what your talking about so i don't have to listen to you, despite having no proof that you are stupid and no proof im right."

sorry if i insulted you but pls use actual arguments and no fallacies. if you dont know the fallacies of arguments you can find them on wiki by simply googeling argument fallacies

Uiru3 votes

You are proposing that it frequently happens that 10 people all click to play a game and then AFTER joining the lobby, decide they don't want to play anymore.

Enjoy your 15 minutes, you've earned them. ~Uiru

dalphy081 votes

It frequently happens, a person should not have to wait 15 minutes. That's nazi like.

Otter4Blue1 votes

why? why shouldn't they wait that long for not picking / dodging

dalphy081 votes

Well the good people shouldn't have to.....

Otter4Blue1 votes

that is avoiding the question since it is not a matter of good and evil. it is a matter of rules and punishment. you did not follow the rules why should you not get punished?

if you have no money and steal you should not go to jail just because your a good person?

If a person is good, they are automatically allowed to break any laws that they see fit to.

Because by definition, if you are a good person you cannot do any single bad thing.

Otter4Blue1 votes

you missed my point again do you read it through? it is a matter of rules and punishment. good people break rules every so often. and they get punished for it.

I believe you do not know English. You asked a question, and it was answered. The rest of what you said is kiddy irrelevance.

Enkidusmurf1 votes

Um, no. You do not get to compare the imposition of a 15-minute delay before you play a game with the invasion of foreign countries and the slaughter of millions of people. By all means, act like an entitled little prick. No one will look twice; we'll just throw you a glance and laugh. But, don't you dare equate being denied the "right" to play a game with fucking genocide.

bad arcade kitty3 votes

15 minutes for the second+ dodge, 5 minutes for the first dodge of the day if it's draft you wasted 5 minutes of the lobby and 2-3 minutes of the queue for 9 other people with your dodge... it's just that you are punished for that

dalphy081 votes

I get that, but it's not much of a waste if you can just que up again. Even in Draft Pick. And the solution would be to make Draft Pick less time-consuming....going to make a thread about that actually!

Otter4Blue1 votes

make draft pick less time consuming?

really. Really. REALLY! you have no idea what you are talking about. considering what it is, draft pick is quite fast. but that aside if you want a new system ask for something realistic, or learn to program apply to riot and do it yourself. btw changing draft pick is such a monumental task that it can take years. and if you just want to change the time to pick then you are wrong, 60 sec is just enough time to chat with the team and coordinate your pick and align it with the team.

dalphy081 votes

For the banning of champions phase......we really don't need all that time to just sit there.

Otter4Blue1 votes

how many times have you banned? because everytime i ban there is certain bans i have to make and i generally have one or two open bans. those i use to help my team rather than hinder the enemy team and it takes time.

dalphy081 votes

If it takes you that long, you can't be a very smart person. If even considered to be a person... more like a dumb pig.

Otter4Blue2 votes

so you are telling me, that considering the pros and cons of 120 champions, of which i can pick three to ban to help my team, makes me a dumb pig. you are telling me that putting in thought makes someone dumb. oh wait it makes sense you did not once think of all my constructive criticism and answered like you read the first few words.

do you even read? do you even think? De Carte would be ashamed of you.

i am not picking between two colors, im picking on multiple variables who to ban, including but not limited to.

dueling potential, strength in lane, strength in meta, ability to affect outcome of the game, effectiveness against the champion i want to pick, effectiveness of my champion against them, time of the game in which they are strong, teamfight strength, assassination potential, peelability, popularity, win-rate, my ability to play against the champion, my matchmaking rating, etc.

and you tell me that if i take more than two seconds to consider all this im a dumb pig. DO YOU EVEN THINK?

you better not respond to this one with any derogatory comment as doing so will result in me spamming the living hell out of you. you have not demonstrated a capability to critically think, you did not consider the feeling of others, and your sorry behind did not even bother to consider i may have a point.

to conclude TL:DR READ AND THINK, YOU WHYNIE ASS, USE THOSE 15 MINUTES YOU CONSTANTLY GET TO THINK, AND MAYBE THEN I WILL HAVE A THE SMALLEST MEASURABLE AMOUNT OF RESPECT AND DECENCY TOWARD YOU.

Is that directed at/to me? That other person is a kid yes. But if by "kid" you meant me, then you're the juvenile and just as stupid as that other moron.

If you have been offended by even 1 post I have contributed in all of Internet history, you clearly are the one who is wrong and psychopathic. The good folks are not offended by my words, ever.

If you started your worthless response with that. I am quite worried that a fool like you is even allowed on a computer.

{quoted} you are telling me that putting in thought makes someone dumb.

If that is what some, thing ... in the universe, no matter what that thing may be.....told your brain. Then you have serious problems.

{quoted} and you tell me that if i take more than two seconds to consider all this im a dumb pig. DO YOU EVEN THINK?

If you (clearly as a result of psychopathy and childish exaggeration/obsessive issues with distorting as a means to get back at some childhood angry parent) could reduce the number of seconds I was referring to to "two", you clearly missed the entire point of my entire sentence. I even kept my posts small, so you clearly are not mature enough to use a computer.

15 min is only if you did this more than twice or so recently. i believe it goes 0/5/5/15/15/30/30/day/3days/week. but not sure about the week. not picking is the same as dodging

dalphy081 votes

NO it's every time. EVERY TIME 5 minutes then 15 minutes after. 5 minutes is way too long.

Otter4Blue1 votes

while i agree that 15 is way to long 5 is just a short time. you can't say that 15 is too long and that 5 is way too long.

I think your attempts to write all these mathy smartguy asian things are only just to try and flaunt your book knowledge of numbers. And none of that has any connection because it still proves you've never lived enough to discover a 5 minute period of importance.

Otter4Blue1 votes

simple math and basic knowledge. it is not like i said the the total flux of an electric field is directly proportional to the magnetic field by the current used. some knowledge i learnt two years ago in my physics class, but you are not man enough to accept this is not an argument with yourself.

Getting a 15 minute queueing time probably means you have not selected a champion til timer goes out and is considered "dodging", most likely you have done it more than 2 times. You deserved it.

Yes...

In some cases yeah.

Wrong, you don't know how the world works.

BeatzBoyFTW1 votes

It is still considered dodging no matter what, be it a good or bad reason. All I see is you wasted like more than 10 people in both queues for not picking a champion for some reason.

But considering the fact that you're Bronze 5, takes summoner 7 summoner 12 , and builds like crap, it's either that you're a smurf, or I just don't even have to try to reason why you should be suspended/ban.

No it is not considered dodging no matter what, you pathetic blind kid.

And you're a psychopath, I'd like to see you try something in real life besides hiding behind a forum trying to declare when people should be banned and when they shouldn't.

BeatzBoyFTW1 votes

Then tell me why? Why did you not select a champion for about 2 times in a row? If you were busy with something, you wouldn't have to queue up in the first place. If you were busy, I would not want you to be in my team where it's 10 minutes in, and then you had to leave cz "your brother is giving birth". I see no other reasons other than just trolling around in champion selection.

And you're a psychopath, I'd like to see you try something in real life besides hiding behind a forum trying to declare when people should be banned and when they shouldn't.

Funny how you're talking about this, when you're doing the same thing as well. Not the "declare which people should be banned" part, but the fact you're also talking crap behind a computer, and making such a fuss while making this thread. Talk about "try something in real life" huh. Look who's talking.

About 95% of what you wrote is just because you like reading. We don't care. And, not to mention that I am not doing the same thing. I did not once say when someone deserved to be suspended/banned.

There's no important reason to not pick a champ. Don't join a game if you can't commit to playing it.

That is entirely wrong. You don't know much about the world based on that, but that's okay. You're young, you aren't really supposed to know that much yet.

{quoted} Don't join a game if you can't commit to playing it.

That is also incorrect advice technically, but don't worry. Just know that I'm right as usual.

leaving a game for whatever reason BEFORE the game starts shouldn't be much of an issue, in fact, in battle.net it wasn't an issue at all

should one believe they might be unable to play properly for whatever reason, they should be able to leave, and not have the whole game disbanded, just replace em not the whole game.

i prefer people to leave before than after, tbh
