The Dark Star Thresh announcer sounds great!

I was surprised to hear a new announcer voice today, which turned out to be Dark Star Thresh's voice. I thought they had changed the voice completely, because in my opinion it sounds cooler and better than the normal announcer, who sounds like a bored woman casually reporting the facts. Maybe we should have the option to buy announcer packs that we can use in all of our games, that will only affect us individually. I play a lot of SMITE and I noticed that its default announcer and the voice packs available sound much better and more intense, as if the announcer actually cared about what was going on. I think maybe we should actually keep Dark Star Thresh as our new announcer permanently, or at least give us the choice to choose the default announcer and other announcers. What do you guys think about this idea?

I wish Riot would take that from other MOBAs like Smite. In Smite you can purchase and choose your announcer packs which are the voices of the gods you play. I'd totally pick Elise's or lamb's voice if they let us. I like the normal voice but I want something different, especially if the announcer adds some extra things, like Elise saying ''an ally has been slain, what a noob''. Or Imagine Jinx as an announcer ''an enemy has been killed. That was AWESOME!'' if you destroy a nexus turret she could say ''time to blow up their base!!! tatatatatatata!!''. This could make them so much money, but Riot seems to dislike good ideas! I'm still waiting for voice commands, it'd make communication so much better. I'd love to hear my champ say stuff like ''enemy missing'', ''enemy in middle lane'', ''enemy ganking top lane'', ''I'll ward bot'', etc.

In Paladins and other games, that voice command idea works really well. For games like League, I'm not so sure it would work as well. Too many randoms would be spamming their voice commands, and it'd take focus away from its actual purpose. I like the idea, but I feel that in a game like League it would be too distracting. The short, succinct summary a ping gives about a location is all that's really needed.

As for everything else, I'm totally onboard. Sign me up for that! I would pay money to keep Discount harbinger as my announcer voice!

I really enjoy the idea of having the ability to choose which announcer you can use for your future games to come after this event ends. However, I personally don't believe Riot will pursue this idea, unfortunately. At the current moment you can switch back to the classic announcer in the settings though, so this could possibly be an option! I wouldn't mind hearing Dark Star Thresh's voice in every game I play without needing to play Thresh/Dark Star Thresh all the time.

Allowing players to unlock / choose which announcer they want would be nice, though.

For some reason, I find the Thresh voice more.....soothing or something. (Not sure if that's the word I'm looking for.) I noticed I haven't been getting as tilted or annoyed when something bad happens like an enemy triple kill or more. I guess maybe because the normal announcer voice has a little more hype behind it, so it makes it a little more dramatic when something happens. I like both voices, but I'm definitely leaving the Thresh voice on during this event.

Honestly the fact that this is just a dark sounding voice saying the normal lines makes it suck, remember the GP announcer?? That was amazing I'd kill to get that back, guess I'll stick with my T1 announcer xD
