Top lane: I keep getting ganked

I was looking for some advice on how I can play Top better. My playstlye is agressive, and when left to 1v1 i can get a ton of kills and snowball. Right now the biggest thing holding me back is getting ganked. I admit i could ward more and I try to get pinks, but especially in early levels some games i get shut down and cant come back. Any general advice or refernces to good videos on this topic are most appreciated :)

Play champions like darius or illaoi who can turn a gank if the enemy isn't careful. Pay attention to how the enemy is playing. If their behind and stepping up they probably have their jgler close. I used to main top but quit it to main JG/adc
