Is primary role useless?

I've played at least 20 games now where I have not received the primary role I fill in. I've been getting the secondary role for the longest time now. I'm okay with getting my secondary role every now and then but EVERYTIME? Fix your shit Riot.

I don't know about you guys but I do not mind waiting an extra 5 minutes just to get the role I want to play. I see the secondary role as a useless feature since no one actually wants to play their secondary role. Otherwise why would they pick a primary role?

Someone enlighten me on the purpose of the secondary role other than making wait times shorter because I do not have a problem with waiting what-so-ever.

It might be because your primary is a too popular role. Dont get me wrong i think that must be lame to always queue up and basically never get your role. I dont have a problem since i main Support so i basically get queued up instantly!

I mean I pick Jungle as primary, and then Bot as secondary. I do this for about 5 games. I keep getting Bot with Jungle as primary and then I get sick of it and am like you know what bot is not that abd? Let me just make Bot my primary and then I get Jungle and it just happens every day like that.

I might just have to become a support main to get the role I want. Janna

Because there have been complaints about wait times as it is and they will only be made longer by allowing players to select only one role each time. Not everyone wants to or are even able to wait 20+ minutes to get in a game.

But is it really going to be 20+ minutes? The average wait time (for me atleast) is like 7 minutes. That's not considering all the people who dodge and forget to lock in.

Possibly, but i doubt Riot would even want to test it out. Even when Team Builder was out, i remember when i didnt play Support queue times would be about 10+ Mins. its really annoying especially when you can only play a couple of games. Dont even get me started when a new champion comes out. Dont even try queuing as that new champions role because that will be just as long!
