Master Yi Q bug has gone on long enough.

So, this bug has existed for 4 months+ and two months ago it was reported that the bug was 90% fixed. Yet here we are 5 pbe updates since the above post and 1 real content patch, and it's still broken.

I don't main Yi or even really play him.. But it's just weird that this has existed for so long, I know Yi isn't a pick in competitive play, but imagine someone losing worlds just because a difficult bug has existed forever now.

This is a serious issue with a very old champion. If Kled or anyone freshly released had a core ability bugged on release it would be processed and handled much faster than this. This isn't a hate speech, I love riot and I know that who's been assigned this task is working on to the best of his/her capabilities. I just ask that maybe that person get a little bit of help? Or something..

to be fair it looks like a very fast bard portal/thresh lantern type situation.

where yi has to actually travel to his target for the effect to take place, so i can see why when hes in his casting animation it would piss a lot of yi players off if hit during that time frame would cancel alpha when the rest of alpha strike you are supposed to be immune.

Something happened when they added patience bars to camps. This seems like a much more simple fix than the time it's taking.

Initially, his Q reset the patience on jungle camps, making them reset. The fix to that created another bug where he could sometimes be hit by damage or CC while in alpha strike.

I'm sure you did great! c: Yi is an amazingly fun champ and is good even with his Q bugged, but it is integral that his Q works like Fizz's Playful Trickster and Zeds Ult.

You may not notice it, but Yi takes damage leading up to alpha strike and even during it. It's not a surefire ordeal but it seriously caps his ceiling and lowers the plays that a Yi main should and used to be able to make.

I'm not sure about my alpha strike onto Jhin (it looks like his auto reached me before I clicked alpha strike) but it looks like I took a tick of turret damage during my alpha strikes under tower each time...it doesn't seem like that bad of a bug but I can see it being a problem against burst/during a larger skirmish or teamfight.

I understand why it doesn't seem like that bad of a bug, but Fizz's playful trickster is one of the most fluent smooth abilities in the game, and Yi's Q should do it's job, it's hard to tell in your clip if you were taking damage or not, it seems like you were. But, the thing is this bug is inconsistent. I Garen tee people experience this bug at least 3 to 4 times a game on average without noticing.

Ya, it's definitely an issue that Riot dropped the ball on. Idk why it would take so long to patch something like that, it seems like it should be a quick fix but meh

I'd seriously like to know why this hasn't been fixed yet, if only because Shaco's ult often has a similar bug occur. I don't play Yi, but I play a lot of Shaco, and it's a pain in the ass when I time my ult perfectly only to have abilities hit me anyway.
