Not sure if it would be game-breaking; 'Q' on Nocturne

Not sure if this belongs in this section, but skins and champion concepts seemed all about skins and aesthetics. Anyway, I had this idea about Nocturne that I thought would be cool but not sure how others feel about it so I'll ask. Would it be too much to have Nocturne's 'Q' allow him to go through walls? Now before you say 'no' I believe it would be another tool in his kit that is lacking (imo) at the moment because of the reduction in range on his ultimate. This would only happen when he is on the a Dusk Trail, if you are caught just in the middle of a wall you pop out on either side or take damage or something.

There are plenty of other champions with dash or teleport abilities that allow them to jump over walls and escape. (ie:http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=3341169) (Also, the new Rek'Sai) The class on Nocturne is assassin but how can you chase down opponents if they have such easy escapes? You can ult in and put yourself in the middle of the fight but leave you with no way to chase the more elusive champs? The only CC he has is if he can stay in range. Other champs with ability based escapes will be almost impossible to catch if you're Nocturne. This would allow you to chase down those champs who flash or dash over walls. Also, this would be a decent escape ability if you are ever caught in a bad spot to get away. Also, this would allow more map mobility for when the ultimate is on it's super long cooldown, and gives you the option of coming at people sideways when your ult is down.

In my opinion, it is also lore friendly. Nocturne is supposed to be some ethereal creature from nightmares. You will fear him when you see his duskbringer coming from over a wall where you didn't think to look, or just when you think you've gotten away. You will finally start to be paranoid that he could be coming at you from anywhere at any time. :)

Edit: well got some discussion which I hadn't thought of which is enlightening. Overall it seems people are saying something could be done with duskbringer, whether it is this or something else remains unclear though.

If he could just do this by throwing his q over a wall any time he wants then it might be too much because of how far it can go, he could go over walls that no one else can. However, maybe if he could go through terrain with his q so long as he hit a target on the other side of the terrain then it would be less "OP", then it could be seen as a buff for getting around the jungle quickly and it would take some skill to use to get at enemy targets.

Yeah I feel like this might get nocturne out of his slightly awkward current setup of "can somewhat likely kill a low mobility squishy target every minute or so"

It's would be a little game breaking meaning you could almost never catch or escape from him but then again what champion isn't like that now a days.. But his Q is lacking something. It would make nocturne a more threatening person. So why couldn't he go into his shadow and traverse the relms of the shadows.

If his Q can go thru walls, he'll be almost the same as the spectre hero in dota2.

... and then Rek'Sai was released. -_-

Really what would it do when it would allow him to cross terrain? Allow him to hop over like a flash or a blink or kinda melt the terrain for him so he can waltz on through (like Kensu's ulti from Dawngate)?

On one hand yes, it would be cool. On the other hand, that would be a copy of a dota hero, no? Spectre, I think? Also it would be pretty OP, unless it had a massive mana cost or something.

I voted No, and the reason why is that it would fundamentally change the type of ganker that Nocturne is. Nocturne is not about chasing, he's not about that constant pursuit. Nocturne is about the paranoia of when his ult goes off, you don't know where he is, who he's jumping on, and when built correctly, whether or not he has killed someone before the darkness passes. You give him the wall pass through, he just becomes the new and improved Udyr, now with wall clipping.

Well, I could see that being a thing for him, but I think hed need some damage reduction on it to compensate, itd make him stronger in the jungle in terms of counter jungling and anti-counter jungling.
