Evelynn - Propose balance changes for upcoming assassin rework

Hi all,

I'm Evełynn, currently Platinum III Eve main in EUNE with 600k mastery.

This topic was created in order to submit some ideas for a possible champion update / rework.

Feel free to add your thoughts and comments, but please respect the thoughts of everyone.

Let me hit it off:

Below are additional buffs to Evelynn's current kit, which - from gameplay perspective - is fine as it is.

Passive: After falling below 10% health Evelynn drops a bomb of Shadow Isle mist within an area around her that lasts for 1.5 seconds. Within the mist Evelynn becomes invisible, untargetable and can freely move. Enemies within the cloud are blinded. Cooldown: 2 minutes.

**Hate Spikes: ** Make her spikes prioritize champions over minions always, regardless of the last target hit. Refund 50% of Hatespike costs when killing an enemy.

Dark Frenzy: Make her remove snare as well and grant immunity to both slow and snare for 1 second after using Dark Frenzy.

Ravage: Additionally to the current effect deals 2% of enemy's maximum health as physical damage with every hit and heals for the same amount for 3 seconds.

Agony's Embrace: If Evelynn's shield wears off she restores life equal to 50% of the shield's remaining strength. If Evelynn's shield pops before wearing off she deals 10% of the shield's initial strength to all enemies within an area around her.

Now I dunno much about Evelynn and I'm only B4 so forgive me if this sounds like complete foolishness. But with a passive like hers that grants near permanent stealth, doesn't she sort of have to be kept in a weaker state to make up for it?

She doesn't need buffs unless you're willing to compromise by removing the permanent stealth.

I think the assasin rework is already finished. Or atleast almost.

Evelynn is only getting small changes because she needs a VGU.

That is already the case. It only targets minions if champions are out of range or vision.

A heal in the kit is a bad idea at least for an assassin if not any champion.

I want you to justify the flavor of such a passive to me. I can't imagine an Eve main would want to remove her permastealth - it's why you play Eve. It'd be like a Shaco main suggesting removing Shaco's stealth, or boxes, or ulti - these are the reasons one plays Shaco!

I actually think your suggestions to her basic abilities are fine, because they don't compromise her flavor or fantasy, and in the case of Ravage, actually enhances her theme.

If Eve is suppose to be some kind of vampire / succubi chick, what sense does it make for her to be grievously wounded and then go into stealth?

About Agony's Embrace, I've never really liked the shield on Eve for the above reasons. It just doesn't fit in my mind. I would much rather see her ulti drop afflict her prey with a blindness (nearsight) similar to Nocturne's, but which also stealths her and her prey from everyone and everything, including True Sight. Why? Flavor-wise I imagine she envelopes them both in darkness, where its just them, all alone together...

And don't take this personally, it's just what the kind of design I want to see. Flavor-first, let gameplay balance follow. Make each champion's theme, flavor, fantasy the best it can be, then push numbers around.

That is the only thing she needs. Hate Spike targeting AI is fucking garbo.

Losing out on a kill because it targets a nearby minion behind you rather than the 2% HP champ directly in front of you is complete BS.

Honestly I think all the abilitys are great except for the passive the stealth is what makes evelynn, evelynn. Maybe when she falls below 10% health the stealth activates faster and gives her a burst of movement speed.
