Did the LoL community got even more stupid since season 5?

I came back from a hiatus and the people don't even know what Pick order is telling me that I took their spots when I was clearly one of the first ones to pick, and that happened in multiple games. I surprisingly managed to keep my cool the entire game while half of my team was being toxic and stuff. You know the usual stuff. Afterwards I was reported for verbal abuse LOL. I'm sorry but this break was not even worth it, the bad thing is that I don't have much else to play and I definitely ain't spending 3 months handling some morons who won't even listen to reason. Off topic, anyone knows any good MMOs I could play instead of this toxic wasteland?
