[For Fun] Let's add AP Ratios to champs don't don't have 'em!

Technically, all AP champs can make use of AD since all autoattacks scale with AD... ...but not all AD champs can make use of AP! [sg-lux-2]

Back in patch V6.10, Nocturne Nocturne got a slight 15% AP ratio on his passive's heal (I know his E already has an AP ratio) and Shyvana Shyvana got some AP scaling on her W to add more use to their AP.

Before you think this is a strange idea, here's what Riot itself had to say in that patch for context of adding the ratios (you can read it yourself in the patch website)

We know what you’re thinking, but let’s explain. There are an abundance of things in the game that give ability power incidentally (Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Baron Buff etc), making a number of champions sad when they can’t utilize it. Giving Nocturne an ever so slight ratio should make him feel better when these cases arise.

Let's think of ways to add AP ratios to League's edgy 'AD-only' champs (According to this link anyway) so AP is technically never useless (Salute to all the AP Tryndamere s)

Camille W - Heal for ** 100%** of bonus damage dealt -> Heal for 80(+15% AP)% of bonus damage dealt Darius Q - Heal for 12% times number of champions hit of missing health -> Heal for 10+(+15% AP)% times number of champions hit of missing health Draven W - Gain 40/45/50/55/60% movement speed -> Gain 40/45/50/55/60(+15% AP)% movement speed Garen R - Magic Damage: 175/350/525(+28.6/33.3/40%of target's missing health) -> Magic Damage: 175/350/525(+28.6/33.3/40% of target's missing health)(+15% AP) Illaoi E - Damage Transmission: 25/30/35/40/45%(+0.08% AD) -> Damage Transmission: 25/30/35/40/45%(+0.08% AD)(+0.15% AP) OR slap a (+15% AP) on her Tentacles' heal Kayn E - Heal for 100/115/130/145/160(+40% bonus AD) -> Heal for 100/115/130/145/160(+40% bonus AD)(+15% AP) Kalista R - No damage on knockup -> (+15% AP) damage on knockup Kindred W - Damage has no AP ratio -> (+15% AP) slapped on Kled E - Damage has no AP ratio -> (+15% AP) slapped on Olaf Q - Damage has no AP ratio -> (+15% AP) slapped on Riven W - Damage has no AP ratio -> (+15% AP) slapped on Talon W - Damage has no AP ratio -> (+15% AP) slapped on Vayne E - Damage has no AP ratio -> (+15% AP) slapped on Xayah E - Damage has no AP ratio -> (+15% AP) slapped on Zed Passive - Damage has no AP ratio -> (+15% AP) slapped on

That’s not a crazy idea. You could have an ability whose ability power ratio scales with your ability power. 30% at 100 AP, 40% at 200 AP, and 50% and 300 AP.

Kalista ult doing damage is a little odd, put the ap scaling on her Q, or make the % HP on her W scale with ap.

example kalista W now does 5 / 7.5 / 10 / 12.5 / 15% +(2% per 100 ap) of target's maximum health

Zed Death Mark: PASSIVE - REAPER OF SHADOWS now also steals 30% of the target's AP. Death Mark's damage: 100% AD (+ 25 / 35 / 45% +(8% per 100 AP) of damage dealt)

Not sure why you lowered Darius's heal percent per champion without AP. I'm pretty sure if Riot nerfed Darius's heal but slapped a 15% AP ratio for compensation. All the Darius mains including myself would burn down Riot HQ.

Hi. I'm an oldfuck player from back in the day? Did you know that once, before the great cataclysm known only as "The Great Fuckening", that many champions had odd ratios like those you're suggesting? Many AD champs had AP ratios on some or even ALL of their abilities, due to Riot's plans for the game's mechanics being different back then.

See, old Trinity Force used to have have AP attached to it, and it's VERY much not a mage item, so many AD bruiser sorts were given a token (usually REALLY high) AP scaling on an ability to make use of it. This was the golden age of league being fun, when AP Xin and AP Malphite dashed about under the stars while AP Tristana and AP Pantheon jumped with joy (and then landed on you REALLY hard). There were even some oddball, dare I say DEVIANT champions that built hybrid. Both stats at once! SINFUL! But Riot got tired of Jax and Kayle making baby jesus cry with their decadent ways and put an end to it all.

The current, tighter meta was a deliberate push by Riot to pigeonhole champions into specific roles and even builds, at times. Now, ironically... Kai'sa is built to scale off of both AD and AP... showing that either Riot is pushing things back to how they were or that Kai's dual-scaling is just kind of a gimmick that won't be repeated anytime soon.

Hecarim Q has 0.3 AP ratio, E now has 0.5 AP ratio.

I know you said champs that have none, but this came to mind immediately and I only realized once I had finished typing it. Would be a waste not to post at this point.

The funny thing is that the first iteration of that Nocturne buff on the PBE had a (0.5 AP) ratio per target hit instead of a (0.15 AP) ratio per target hit. So with even a moderate amount of AP, umbra blades would usually heal noc to full.

Zed's passive greatly improves his ability to CS with no cost or cooldown. No need to buff it.

Instead, have Zed's E - Deals no additional damage on multi-hit -> Deals 30% AP on multi-hit.

A lot of those champions don't feel the drop off when you get to that stage in the game though as they scale just fine. Some of them would actually be a pretty sizable buff too since champs like Vayne can actually be viable using Guinsoo as a core item

I just can imagine how rage blade vayne gets penta every second game xD To think item 3087 item 3094 they do ap dmg on proc. so add staked rage blade and passive proc whit crit. AAAAAAAAAAAnd your squishy is dead.She doesn't need ap ratios atm (maybe change her sillver bolts from true dmg to ap hp% dmg ?) xD

Funfact, Poppy's Passive DID used to scale. The buckler used to have an AP scaling.

However apparently it had some odd interactions with some items and it was axed.
