Nexus Blitz is amazing

I just wanted to tell Riot that I absolutely love the new mode. I've only played a few matches, but I'm already hooked. The matches are short and sweet, packed to the brim with teamfights and skirmishes. It's easily the best alternate mode I've seen they've put out since Dominion got removed.

My only complaint, is that it uses the same assets and biom as Summoner's Rift. I feel like this would be a great opportunity to try putting a map in a different kind of setting. Summoner's Rift and Twisted Treeline both have a "Forest" kind of setting (though the latter with a heavier emphasis on being spooky) and Howling Abyss has a "Snow and Ice" theme. it would be really cool to see an environment we've never had before, or one we haven't seen in a long, long time. A map with a theme based on an existing location in the lore would be awesome! Having it set in somewhere in Shurima, with a Desert theme would be nice. Maybe a section of the map could be scarred by the Void, seeing as it's done some damage to the desert in the lore. It could also be super interesting to have it set in the streets and back alleys of Zaun! Or ya know, just make it look like Magma Chamber.

I know this would take a lot of time and effort to properly develop new assets, and models, and textures like that, on top of trying to properly capture the feeling of that location. I understand it likely won't happen, but I thought I should still share my thoughts on it. It'd be a little disappointing to have a brand new mode released, only to have it set in the same green forest, ya know?

Riot's explicitly said that Nexus Blitz is in an experimental state. The main focus is on gameplay, so there's going to be as many reused art assets as possible. If the mode works out, then Riot would likely devote resources to getting it more appropriate art.
