The Lee Sin *constructive* feedback thread.

Riot has made it clear that they're not a fan of the unfiltered rage of the masses when it comes to feedback.

So, I'm making this thread for those who would like to share what they feel about the controversial little blind guy currently terrorizing laners in the Summoner's Rift.

Rules of the thread:

  1. Be constructive. No "I FUGGIN H8 THAT SH*TBRAINS LEE WIN" posts please. You're not helping.

  2. Try to focus your feedback around aspects that could be better or more balanced regarding Lee Sin.

  3. If you disagree, respectfully do so. No player deserves to be called a *fart-face *or similar.

My opinion and feedback regarding Lee Sin

Lee Sin is really good. Really good.

In fact, I think a little bit too much so. To me, he's like a champion swiss army knife. He has it all.

Mobility, check. Gap closer, check. Escapes, check. Sustain, check. Disengages/engages, check. Execution, check. Good base stats, check.

But does he have weaknesses to make up for his large amount of strengths? Personally, I don't think so. This is the focus of my Feedback for him.

He lacks a meaningful weakness, an Achilles' heel so to speak. A lot of champions have at least one of these profound weaknesses. Mordekaiser lacks an escape or any CC. As does Fiora. Nasus' profound weakness is denying him the ability to farm. Amumu is thoroughly mana-hungry without his precious blue buff.

However, to my knowledge, Lee Sin doesn't have a true blue Achilles' heel type of weakness that players can exploit. The only counterplay available for most is to simply avoid getting tagged and engaged upon by him. There's little to no active counterplay, it's all avoid the blind dude or he'll wallop you into next thursday passive counterplay, which is flat out not fun and boring to watch.

In summary, everything in this world comes with a cost. I call them taxes. However, I don't think Lee Sin is paying enough.

He has so much in his kit that makes him fun and interesting to play, but at the same time, he's not sacrificing enough (or in some cases, anything at all) to make it a fair trade.

TL;DR, Lee Sin could use some tweaking so that he doesn't get so much metaphorical stuff for such a low metaphorical price.

Lee is fun to play. Lee is not good though.

"Mobility, check. Gap closer, check. Escapes, check. Sustain, check. Disengages/engages, check. Execution, check. Good base stats, check."

My hatred isn't because he necessarily has all these things, it's that with his numbers they're actually comparable to specialist who ONLY have these things, but may be gated for their possession. Look at Nautilus. He has abysmal movespeed because of the utility of his terrain hook. Syndra and Veigar are mages who specialize in burst and have an execution ult, but Lee's is attached to a massive displacement and will deal THE SAME DAMAGE to anyone who gets hit by the person kicked. Lee's ult even has a higher base damage than Veig and 3-ball Syndra, on top of 200% AD scaling. Why? And why a 200 base shield with 80% AP scaling?

Don't even get me started on his sustain. 25% LS/SV for free is insanity.
