Nerfing Rek'sai

Recently Rek'sai has been a really popular pick with the highest win ratio of any champion (although not by much). Responding to this Riot is already beginning her nerfing phase. The way they're approaching it isn't the best either. Her current nerfs involve a decrease in her attack damage ratio on her unburrowed Q and an ap ratio on her burrowed Q. In my opinion this is the wrong way to go about the nerfs. Yes the ratios currently are rather strong but that's mostly the only thing that keep her as a viable champion. Foxdrop's and Stonewall's video basically describe my opinions perfectly about the nerfs and the current state of Rek'sai. If Riot is looking to nerf her damage they should first change the problems that are inherent in her kit. If they do not we may just be looking at another kha'zix (oh hey, would you look at that... another void champion).

To everyone who points out rek'sai's knock up, that thing is on a 10 second cd, minimum. It cannot be reduced by cooldown reduction, it is always, always 10 seconds. If you get hit by her "unburrow (the knock up)" within that 10 seconds, it does absolutely nothing. No damage, no knock up. It is an engage, and that is it. If you get harassed by it in lane, chances are its because that time has passed and you didnt capitalize on her skills being "down"

She already has an AoE knockup on low CD? I don't know why people are asking for more CC...

Having AoE CC, long range poke, mobility, sustain AoE clear and being ressourceless used to be special...

Today you can add insane damage an people will ask for more...

Disregarding the poke as it's a terrible poke (wasn't designed for poking). The question would be, would you feel the same way if she did arguably less damage? She does have her knock up, but if she doesn't have enough damage she can't can secure a kill because she can't chase well in a mobile meta like this one.

Ever played Hecarim? If you did you'ld know how far off Rek Sai his. She can do anything he can 10 times better. This has to be fixed.

Well there is a reason he is played less often than most junglers. Although Hecarim has two forms of CC at level 6 and can catch up to an enemy with more ease because of his movement speed he gains from his skills. On a bright side at least they've noticed that league's pony is weaker than he should be and they are giving him some QoL adjustments.

If you watched the video, the point of the video was to say if you nerf Rek'Sai's damage - she becomes useless. To be quite frank, it's true. Sure Rek'sai has a knock-up; but that's at point blank range and only a person who has overextended for too long or an idiot will take a W hit from Rek'Sai. Then what? Rek'sai can only Q the shit out of the enemy and then hope and spam E to deal true damage. Nerfing Rek'Sai's damage basically reduces Rek'Sai's kit to dust. Her Q is her true source of damage - her E is just free damage. Her Unburrow Q is pretty useless to be quite honest - with the exception of nice AP scaling. Her E is not even a gap closer - the cooldown on that thing is atrocious. And her Ult is either useless or pointless. It's useless because if you're losing, you've probably have NO tunnels placed anywhere and it's pointless because if you're winning; the tunnels only strengthen a win.

All in all, if Riot nerfs Rek'Sai's damage - she becomes a MUCH less viable pick. Rek'Sai's strength only lies with uber damage.

That basically summarizes my opinion on her which is why I included the poll to see what others think as well. From my perspective the only way they could nerf Rek'sai without making her quite useless is basically by adding in an extra form of crowd control one her E or Q (burrowed/unburrowed) for instance.
