I'm silver in ranked and in normals MMR but it doesnt help that EVERY game has multiple significantly higher rated people on the enemy team because they queued with their low mmr bronze/silver friend. it really doesnt help the games environment to stick a silver 2 against 3 platinum players.. it's entirely unfair when your entire team gets curbed because nobody can do anything about the 3-5 man premade with higher ranks against your own team of 5 strangers. Yes I am whining. but nobody likes to get completely stomped because theres multiple significantly better players on the other team. im not gonna bring up smurfing cause theres nothing that can be done about that.

Normals has a mmr system designed to make getting into games really fast. To avoid being Autofilled so much, they opted to make the matchmaking player to player. So you can have a diamond and a diamond, gold to gold etc. but it generally doesn't get out of control unless its like late at night where there are less players queing up.

Options are basically LONG que times, be autofilled all the time, or get some unfair games here and there

Well, it is impossible to go against a premade of 3-5 unless you're doing flex, and if you go into flex solo, that's the risk.
