playing a game as a crazy-fed vi and we dont have much of a tank but do kinda good anywyay

every time before a teamfight she ults and lays down armies of plants and were cool with tht cuz she is a support right?
well a couple times i noticed a giant amount of damage done but im vi so i dont care. i am seeing the adc get melted a lot.

Zyra has always been able to do that as a support.
It'd be nice to see builds, but yea, Zyra will do that.
A lot of AP champs build pretty poorly, spending large sums of gold on mana regen and AP, when they'd get more damage per gold spent out of magic penetration. Support Zyra, with a low budget, usually ends up buying the latter. Lastly, to be fair, support gold isn't all that far behind solo gold these days (if at all).
Don't know for sure, but I would imagine a sizeable chunk would come from the laning phase where a good zyra will be laying down constant poke against the enemy adc. I can't think of any other support besides sona that is as good at laying constant pressure from a distance.
Also, I imagine the 
build adds up a lot of relatively unnoticed damage. I would love to know how much it contributes, but Riot doesn't let us have those numbers sadly.
People don't respect her plants enough. They deal tons of damage. Even with 0 AP, the plants each deal 140 damage per shot, and there's two of them, and the ult makes them shoot 50% faster.
Do not stand near plants. They will eat your face.
but you won that game.. seriously she needs a better way to escape then be dead to right in games like that
