a bronze jungel need help. rammus dosent work for me anymore

TKM Axe··2 votes·1,287 views

Its simple. climbed with rammus from B3 to B1. started to lose alot with him after i got promoted to B1, so i switched to akali (wich i pratice alot on PBE) didnt work either. switch back to rammus again and hope it would work. got demoted to B2. it feel like i need a new champion i can play in the jungel. can someone recommend me a champion who: clear camps fast and easy in early game, alot of CC, got a strong usefull ult. got a good gank ability like Malphite ult, deal much damage on late game.

As rammus was my jungel route RED > gank mid either would they die or waste flash > blue buff > crab > gank top or mid > gromp (if i am not low on hp then would i just recall) when i recall will i buy my items and check all my lanes then think what i can do and should not do like gank bot if they getting hard pushed . my wards is usally on the enemy raptors, close to the enemy wolves.

(sorry for bad english) hope you can help me climb again

It's not champions that will win ranked for you, it's you. If you keep trying to find "the right one" that you can win with then you're just going to keep getting demoted because you'll lose more from not knowing your champion well enough.

I still find plenty of success with Rammus jungle, so chances are you don't need to switch off him to succeed. Try finding new jungling strategies or study up on what people in gold, plat, or diamond do when they jungle.

Here are a few skills worth improving that have less to do with the champion and more to do with your gameplay:

  • Vision Control
  • Counterjungling
  • pathing, and timing ganks
  • objective control (like dragon, rift herald, scuttle, etc.)
  • Keep track of the enemy jungler so you can easily steal their jungle on the opposite side of the map from them or if you're on the same side of the map as them - counter-gank when they gank your laners.
  • There's nothing wrong with repeating a gank 15 seconds later, so long as there isn't vision revealing you then the enemy laner often won't expect it, and if you got their flash the first time around then the second time it's much more likely to get a kill. Plus it tilts them that you camped them.

i try to get as much vision control as possible so i can predict the enemy movements. i try to camp out my midlane in the early game just so i can tilt the enemy midlaner, (yes of course i give the other lanes ganks too)

but you right it can end up i dont ward on 2 whole minutes even tho i got my ward up wich is not really good. and i can also miss caculate my ganks sometimes wich end up me doing bad trades i will try to focus more on warding and vision control. And try to make good trades and caculate the ganks i can do thanks for the tips

I'm happy to help, and if you're looking for ideas for other things you could do to be more successful, you can always try watching high elo streamers who jungle, to see what they do.

It helps to find someone who narrates about their strategy and decisions so you can better understand what they're trying to do.

SoloRenektonOnly does this and his stuff is on youtube, but he only has a few jungle games up, most of his gameplay is top-lane. That said, you can still pick up a lot of useful tips about map awareness, vision control and pressure from him. I'm sure there are others like him out there that jungle more though :) So I suggest checking them out.

wich jungel champs does solorenektononly play? becuse i might consider to start to play zac if rammus is a bad pick (matter on the enemy team comp)

SRO likes to find builds and strategies that people think are OP. It's not that he's relying on the champions per-se though, I think he does it because that's the kind of stuff people watch. He did a Hecarim video, but that was during the time that top lane was miserable to play so he did jungle for a little bit.

isnt hecarim busted too right now? does riot even touch him anymore?

HalcyonDweller1 votes

I've got no idea, it's one of those champions that is severely underplayed so if it is OP then it flies under the radar.

A lot of champions can be really good with the new runes though. Predator rammus is hilarious, but aftershock is really good on him if you're building conventionally. Waterwalking is super good so if you're not using that you should start using it.

predator looks fun on rammus but wich other runes should i pick on domination if i go predator?

HalcyonDweller1 votes

it's kind of off-meta, but you could try this:

Domination: Predator, Cheap Shot, Ghost Poro, Relentless Hunter

Sorcery: Celerity, Waterwalking

It will give you a lot of map presence and ability to roam (thanks to all the movement speed), but it's going to cost you a significant amount of your tankiness in late game teamfights.

but wait wich boots should i buy? becuse i usally buy ninja tabi or boots of swiftness

HalcyonDweller1 votes

Boots are situational to your game. You've got to adapt to the circumstances. Against numerous or fed auto-attackers you will want Tabis. Against mages or lots of hard cc you will want Merc's. And on the rare occasions where you're not worried about auto-attacks or hard-CC you can go swiftness for the bonus speed and the slow reduction.

Honestly dude, as a jungler myself, don't pick champs that have a higher skill cap. SRO plays off meta stuff now for the views. He is a GREAT teacher on how to freeze lanes, but if you want to learn how to jung, watch a jung main like Pants are Dragon or Nightblue. They often talk through what they are doing and why.

In bronze/silver, pick an easy champ (xin right now is busted and easy to play), get early skuttle, do a level 2 gank. Even if you can't get a kill, you will most likely get them to blow a flash. And no flash on a laner is HUGE for your team. They can pressure knowing the other person has no escape.

After that gank, keep your eye on the enemy jung position. if he's on the same side as you, ward up, and keep farming. If he's on the opposite side of you, invade his jungle and steal camps.

ALWAYS get skuttles now when possible. after the first couple, they start giving 140 gold.

No champ is SUPER hard to learn. But there are some that have a way higher learning curve than others.

For instance, LeeSin has an easy enough kit, but skill shots and ward hopping make his VERY hard to master

Zac is middle of the road for "mastering". You have to know when to slingshot, where you can slingshot from, when to ult and where then to second cast that ult and so on. And in anything lower than Plat, using zac's passive properly can be tricky too. Some people don't realize that your allies can teleport to one of your cell divisions and save you from death. So it's not only what YOU can do with Zac, but its people in your lower elo understanding HOW you work and how to make the most of his skills.

ah lee sin used to play him in bot when i was only a level 10 player. good old days :). the slingshot on zac looks hard to land tho will it take long time to master just that thing?

Slingshot isn't too hard, but there is a wind up time, it technically is a skillshot, and there are spots on the map where, when used properly, have unmatched ganking potential. Kind of like Kayn's ganks.

There are premier spots to gank from, there are ways to use it to steal baron's and drags without dying and so much more. He's not terrible to learn, but if you want a current meta champ that is quick to learn (im talking MAYBE one game in Normal before hitting ranked effectively) I would take xin. I would recommend also Graves, but I don't know how you are with ranged. But Graves right now is pretty OP with his passive tankiness and damage.

used to play alot of graves last season his pretty nice only thing so is annoying is that he got only 2 shells so you need to reload all the time

but with his E refunding a shot and AS reducing reload time, when you get to mid and late game, you don't notice it that much. Also, I much rather prefer Graves reload time over Jhins.

So what i noticed when looking on your profile is that you play way too many different champions in ranked. Search up around 3 junglers and 2 2nd role laners and stick with them. You also should work on your cs, try to keep it consistent. You have to buy and place alot more controlwards, I recomend you to always buy 1 after your first back. And maybe switch rammus up to someone else (maybe xin or ww for the early scuttle preasure since it is the meta now). So thats what you should work on and thats also the only thing that I can check on your gg. Hope it helps you out.

WW is one of the most picked champion in low elo right now almost everyone can play against/counter him these days. i guess i can try out xin but he got a high banrate becuse kids cry nerf on him

Your winrate will be higher on any chanpionthat you play 50+ games on than any chanpionthat you don't.

Pick a flexible, consistent chanpion that that feels good in your hands and just play the shit out of them, and you'll climb.

I also would not recommend jungle to get out of bronze or silver, though of course you can with any other role. Jungle tends to get really strong at plat+, but before that you need to work twice as hard as other roles to get the same effect - it's just a higher skill floor.

RookPusher1 votes

Amumu is usually a really nice tank jungler for the lower brackets. I'd personally give him a few spins and see what you think. I guess it depends on why you like Rammus. If you're more of a tower-eater then I'd go with Trundle.
