Rank Champion Pick

I imagine this happens more often in lower ranks/elo then in higher ones. I am talking about picking a FOTM champ with ZERO prior experience in a rank match. I love how much thought process they put into choosing these champs. They are more concerned about counter picking then rather picking a champ they know how to use. Furthermore, they watch streamers pick non meta champs, such as brand jungle and mimic theses actions. Yet they fail to realize that these streamers are plat/diamond player who are extremely more skilled at lol then a silver 4 noob. They also forget to realize that streamers do this intentionally to gain more of an audience, since nobody wants to watch the same champs over and over. Its the LCS all over again.

So what I am trying to do is understand why would you handicap yourself and put the team at a disadvantage. The answers I have heard that make me want to smack them are:

  1. I am playing for my entertainment not yours
  2. stfu Im a plat/diamond smurf
  3. reported for harassment ( after feeding 0/4 within 15min)
  4. I dont care its not a bannable offence ( I consider this as assisting the enemy)
  5. Calling the team Nerds or loser in response to their team getting upset
  6. I got this dont worry, proceeding with ff surrender at 20 ok im afking at base

If you want to troll pick do it in normal's. If you want to troll in rank create a troll team which all you lovely trolls can play together and feed. But dont be an ass by wasting +20min of your teammates time. Its unfortunate that these trolls get away with this. Since in theory as long as they dont say a negative word they cant be punish. Even if they feed many people would say they just had a bad game. Its very frustrating. Even more upsetting is when they enemy team honors the troll. Sigh I really dont get it.

Thats why a system that records pre/post game chat should be implemented as well as kicking a player at champ selection. It has to be majority.

most of the time I can see the frustration you are experiencing. This is further emphasized when they pick the newest champ who has been out for 30 hours into a ranked situation. There are things to consider though. For example I have been playing ranked since season 2 and back then I was a Kayle main. I recently picked her back up and then really fell in love again with the new sated. I have been flamed because I don't have any recent games with her, but realistically I know her kit inside out and backwards so I don't need to "go learn" her.

In this case its ok since she hasnt had any real major reworks. Unlike the new GP and Elise. Facepalm. Also if teemos reworks actually get implemented then god save us. he will be the biggest noob trap literally https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGoLWLZ2wvk
