The relentless top pushing

Hi! I'm a top lane Nasus main player and I've recently come back to League after a few months of hiatus. I've strictly played normal draft pick since I came back so I can't speak for ranked or such. What struck me time and time again since I came back is the total relentless pushing of top lane. To be clear, as a Nasus player I totally love farming under my turret. I'm not against the pushing really I'm just curious why it's a ting?

It's almost like playing against super agressive bots really. No matter what champion I'm up against everyone seems to blow their cooldowns, aoes and constant auto attacking on minions with zero thoughts of getting ganked. Nothing matters except pushing my tower. For example, I totally hate when I'm up against an early game champ that freezes the lane. I get no stacks, and if I walk forward and last hit I get hit by that 50% hp combo. Nowdays? It doesn't even matter if I get every last hit under tower and tower hasn't taken damage, perhaps I've even got a gank kill or assist. As soon as the enemy is back from shop. The relentless pushing keeps on coming.

I'm not saying it's a bad strategy. I've won and I've lost against it. I guess my question is, what happened to lane freezing and cautious top lane play?

Just yesterday I was trying to form a freeze in my lane and my jungler broke it when I backed, after I asked him why he responded with. "You're Welcome."

My immediate response was for breaking the minion freeze that was allowing me to free farm and completely zone my opponent?

Afterwards his response was so soul crushing I actually thought he had to be joking. "Dude, I don't even know what that means, speak normally."

Very depressing state of the game when people don't understand simple concepts like that.

I took a 4 month break and I notice my mmr reduced I think they made resets to normal mmr at the start of the season. Either that or your normal mmr had a decay.

I used to play against gold/plats in my normal mmr, now I am with bronzes and silvers.

My guess is the general population of your MMR changed while you were away. It likely went from people who understand wave management and pressure to having a larger population that has yet to learn this.

Just make sure you keep hold of your lane management skills. Mine have been getting a little rusty recently, since I can just hard push against my opponent and not have the wave move anywhere.

So the main issue with freezing i see is you give up map pressure. As a fellow Nasus main it is nice when your laner leaves you alone to free stack and freeze however when you do that you allow your laner to put pressure on your team mates. So when mid gets 3 man dove its partialy your fault for not punishing them for that play. Now persoanly i just saw screw them ill carry later ;)
