My problem with ranked games.

What is really the point of ranked games ? To compete vs players with the same skill level as yours, right ? Well this is hardly manageble in my case because to climb up you need a lot of time which I just dont have. But let put that aside. I was in platinium but stopped playing for a while and the game placed me at gold which is normal. This happened 2-3 times from my long experience. I climb very hard because I main support because waiting for other roles is for someone who have time . As adc is incredibly easy for me to climb out of gold. But as support is sometimes a nightmare. Well thats not the actual problem, somehow I managed to be ok with all this. In gold 5 the games were great, playing vs gold players, they had map awareness, knew how to engage etc. In gold 3 was the same. Before 3 days (I think) I went to gold 2 and this is the place when I really want to quit. The players are terrible at almost everything. To support an adc who cant farm is a nightmare. I looked for the games and it turned out that i play with silver plaers, silver 3 , silver 4 etc. Sometimes with low plats... So what is the point of ranked guys? really ?
