Please tell me why this isn't already a thing...

So here I am, sitting down, ready to play Mid and I hop into Normals. The lobby loads up, I call Mid first and I get my champ picked. Then pretty much every time, someone else goes "No I called Mid" Then this person pastes into the lobby chat what he wants me to believe is the Lobby Chat on his screen. So then this guy who in theory, never actually called Mid first, forces me out of Mid just because I joined later than him.

So please tell me, when we join a lobby, why can't we see what everyone has said, even if we joined last? This is a perfectly logical feature that would lower the amount of people stealing roles without anyone being able to prove it true or false.

even if they said it AFTER you joined chat it's possible for you both to see different things. Because your chat is input client-side, while everyone else's chat has to go client->server->you

best way is to not instalock anything ever, and ask a 3rd party to confirm who got it.

You should be on the supreme court. You have a knack for interpreting rules in a way that fits your agenda, lol. Regardless, one could argue that the instalock itself is the communication to the team showing what that person has picked, and then they pick accordingly based off their own judgement of the situation, which I believe is the "pick order" design in blind pick that someone else was referring to in this thread.

I find it funny how most people tend to either truly believe or pretend that Riot actually enforces the widely accepted meta or champ selection etiquette. Riot does not, and probably never will. When people threaten to report people for breaking these "rules" that Riot doesn't care about, it makes me laugh.

So long as you're genuinely playing with the intention of winning and you're not trying to harm your own team gameplay-wise or verbally, you're good. That's all Riot cares about. That, and of course, not using exploits or anything like that.

Mind you, 90% of the time, I play within the meta and don't make any waves. Sometimes though, I might try something different, like playing bot lane, not as a support, but just another champ that also wants some CS. Oh man, that has really ruffled some ADC feathers, lol. Who's the bad guy though? The guy who just wants his share of CS in bot lane or the entitled brat that afk's because he couldn't have ALL the CS? Who should you report? Regardless of your answer, Riot will only give a damn about the ADC that afk'd, because he'd be the one that broke THEIR rules, lol.

TLDR:

Play team builder if you want to have a better chance of playing with like-minded people you're on the same page with and getting the role you want. Blind Pick is all just a roll of the dice.

of course there is. i picked x so im playing x. boom pick order. riot has said many many times, you should try to work with your team but ultimately you can pick/play what you want.

Do you know what we mean when we say Pick order? Wd're talking about the order in which people pick their champions. Pick order only exists in ranked and normal drafts. Blind pick has no pick order because people can just pick anyone and play.

Refusal to communicate is for cases where a player is off playing his own game while the rest of his team is playing a 4v5.

Well yesterday i went Yasuo + Lee Sin bot lane twice with a friend and won. Then few other games we just picked a random champ and went bot lane with them and built them off meta, and won all the matchups.

So yea.......

I agree i should have just went afk or fed because i didn't feel like playing other role so i couldn't play it properly. That would have been way more fun to play with.

What if i was forced to go jungle the entire day and it is my least favorite role? And in every single game that day my laners fed and i got all the blame? Would i still play jungle or just play the role i fucking want to play?

you are in blind pick. that is the way blind pick works. you might have to play a role that you dont like. and if every game, every lane feeds, how is that different than being in a team builder with higher elo people? wouldn't your laners feed then?

Blind pick works on a "who picks first gets it". Why are you all hating on me following how it works then?

And the difference is, in Team Builder i would fed because the enemy laner was more skilled than me, as a jungler i would fed and have a bad time because of something that is out of my control.

understand that its also irritating and annoying trying to play a champ and role for five games and you run into the same I called mid first bulshit in every game...

so when does it end? because you just happen to load faster than me you are entitled to some made up sense of priority over me? how exactly does that work?>

tbh unless its ranked, idc what you do or play, so long as you are actually not a drooling monkey behind the keyboard and can communicate, ping and use fkn common sense, you can play support fiddlesticks and I don't care

I'm not really gonna enter team builder again to show proof, but here is a screenshot of the dumb matchmaking in teambuilder (i have 1 more from way back when i was level 29)

And no i'm not in lower priority queue (how would that even work in Team Builder?), i get into a lobby in about 5 min no matter what role i play, but i always end up taking forever to find a jungler or support (doesn't matter if i pick either of these, i will end up waiting for the other). Then other people quit because they wait too long, and it's possible for the jungler or support to be disatisfied with the team comp and just leave. Or the captain just abaodns the lobby and you have to find EVERYBODY from the start now...

if you actually understand how the matchmaking system works, you get matched up with people of similar mmr, regardless of rank. your mmr is apparently quite how so stop bitching about it. you cant whine bc the system thinks ur good.

No it matches you depending on how much experience you have with a champion in team builder. If i play Shaco jungle for the first time ever in team builder i will be treated just like a Challenger Vayne that played 1000 games but first time in Team Builder

i dont understand. thats the point of blind pick. pick what you want, play want you want. if you want structure play another game mode that offers structure. this is like complaining about how you cant jungle during an aram... if you want to jungle dont aram, if you want a specific lane and role, dont blind pick

people are claiming that blind pick is for "off meta" champs. this is true. Auto locking without calling a role does not constitute for off meta champions. smh.

i dont understand. why are you playing by made up rules to begin with? "call order" has never been a real thing. since the start of the game, riot has told us the game is setup for "pick order" and thats what you should use.
