It's been a really long time that he's been just wrecking the shit out of top lane. Like what do you really have to be scared of as Jayce when you have speed boost, huge burst damage and cc, versatility from melee to ranged. If you play someone like pantheon top lane then jayce can just farm from afar early, outscale you by mid game, and push down 2 towers if you use your ult to roam to another lane. Could we just nerf him even a little?
Mecha Incognito6 votesAt the very least, revert those mana changes/ad ratio change. It was OK having him be good at everything when he'd run out of mana trying to do it all at once. Take that away and you get Jayce as he is now, ridiculous to play against.
Apocyliptic2 votesJayce has too much burst and too much safety. They only way they can really hit his safety is changing his movespeed through his abilities, so they should instead hit his burst.
Maybe he's meant to be a lane bully, but he shuts entire teams down if he even gets a minor lead for too long.
They should thus hit his Melee form damage, because he should still be a lane bully, but if you get on him somehow through all the poke he outputs, he shouldn't be allowed to also out damage you in melee form.
woodvsmurph2 votesAgreed -- a strong ranged champ is supposed to be punishable if you close the gap on them. Ex: teemo -- dies if you can close gap and start trading on nearly equal %hp and stuff. Jayce just trades even or ahead in damage when you finally close gap to fight him due to his %hp damage on his e -- and knocks you back to ranged distance from him - letting him poke you more. It seems like the only way you beat him is by surviving until he is oom, then forcing him to stay in lane. Other than that, jungle ganks seems to be the only option. Although I personally have not had any problems with jayce lately.

Does almost nothing for the team in the lategame.
Is literally a walking target who is only good for getting hit.
However offers extremely valuable team movespeed boost, reliable poke and a knockback.
This whole 'Scales off in damage BUT still offers utility' is why they had to nerf 
as a solo laner to the ground.

Also the way champions damage scales with overall bonus damage. Champs like jayce lose trades to champs like nasus late game because his overall burst cant beat nasus. Jayce also loses to all adcs late game because his burst cant global a adc late game when he can early game. Scaling off. Utility does have great value but isnt everything in the league of melons
Orangesilk1 votesThe thing is, Jayce brutally fucks up Nasus in the lategame by pushing him away from the ADC, speeding up the ADC and poking him down if he doesn't have hard engage.
Not everything is about damage, and it doesn't have to be. Specially in the lategame where 90% of a teams damage is the ADC.
