in that order. Rabs is more useful as a mid to late game power spike then an early game ace item, the burst from and the MR pen from are far more useful then the flat damage from rabs.
However...
If the enemy has no tank and no MR what so ever i will rush rab as my third item rather then my 5th.

Laurënt1 votesRabadon requires a lot of gold is because it gives one of the highest amount of ability power in game, in addiction to a passive that adds even more ability power. That's also why it's situational, and if bought, is usually mid-late game,
