Riot wants to remove counterplay less stuff, Fiddle and Annie are still in the league.

So you want to make things that you can play against, so let's talk about Fidd and Aniie for a moment.

Fidd, 0 skill shots, targeted fear and silence, meaning that he can disable you for 5 seconds easily. Ult that deals dmg without you having to do anything and that works with zhonya activated (remove zhonya form the game, thanks). Point and click W that makes you basically run away since you can't outdamage the heals, so again, no skill shot and 0 counterplay involved unless you have ignite and he hasn't already killed you.

So as soon as he's in range you can't do anything to avoid him, no jukes, no avoidable skillshots, anything. Being the main reason why his win rate is over the top and it's a faceroll way to voctory.

Now Annie, it's simple, point and clik or easy AOE stunt while dealing massive amounts of dmg. Idc having an easy stun in leona, or Taric to say some, but in an Apc it makes no sense to have such an easy and in AOE stunt.

Probably the same nerf could fix both champs, if you have a shitload of cc you should have skillshots to add some counterplay, and not just pray to not die

I mean, you can then touch numbers if they need a buff, but the counterplay is needed

I disagree that there is no counterplay to them.

With Fiddle, you have to play a very specific way, in later teamfights keeping vision of surrounding areas so you can see his ult coming and punish them once it is gone.

Annie is very predictable, if you see she has stun readied and has flash, she's going to use it. Juke her out, use a flash of your own, or at the very least spread out.

With Fiddles he pretty much suppresses himself with his "drain" and once that is deactivated he is really squishy. Fiddles is a champion that is hard hit by vision and is actually pretty squishy after item 3157 and Drain.

The problem with teamfights is that item 3157 has barely any counter play (especially after Riot removed a lot of the game's silences) and how well it synchronizes with his ult.

Yet changing item 3157 would open up a brand new can of worms with how strong assassins would become if it receives a delay or anything.

Fiddlesticks and (Swain to a lesser extent) is just a champion that synchronizes with an item so well that it makes them very strong.

To counter fiddles have teammates travel in pairs, ward everywhere, and pick champions with knockbacks or stuns. He has counterplay and you would discover it if you actually tried to figure it out instead of just going to the boards and asking for nerfs.

These will allow you to counter any cc heavy champion as well: item 3140, item 3139, item 3111, item 2138, item 3222, and summoner 1.

There is counter play for a lot of the champions it just isn't always from mobility.

Why do people always assume counterplay is a good thing? Mobility is already a huge problem in league of legends and the only counter to mobility is point and click cc - as long as the cc has suitable drawbacks (such as short range without many additional effects) I don't see the problem. If anything, we need more champions like Rammus and Fiddlesticks. One person's counterplay is another person's lack of counterplay.
