LP Gains and Losses Based on Team AND Individual Performance.

I posted this is another thread and thought it was worth sharing.

I have always thought they should do a system that incorporates your individual play and the team result.

For example have a pool of 20lp that is tallied on the negative and positive sides.

say you lose 10 no matter what if your team loses the game and you gain 10 no matter what if your team wins.

That leaves a pool of 10lp to based on performance. So if you had just a beautiful game and your team still lost you'd gain 10 for performance and lose 10 for your team losing making you stay the same LP after.

Obviously a lot of thought would have to go into how much LP for individual vs team and what exactly is score for individual performance, but it seems like what should happen IMO.

I am against gaining LP in a losing effort because you could've used your lead better if you had a stellar game or you could've shot called better. On the other side though I don't think you should just get blasted in the ass for negative LP if you play super well and your team just int's.

For the record I don't think you should EVER gain LP for a loss. I just think if play you hard and smart and your team loses you should less LP than if you fed your ass off and played like shit.

Good in theory, impossible in practice.

Riot tried measuring individual performance in game with the grading system, it failed miserably. There are simply too many moving factors which change every time riot released a patch to reasonably measure individual performance better than mmr.
