Current Gangplank's standing, my opinion on a balance change
So right now Gangplank is pretty strong, the new armor pen cdr build rotated over eventually with the change to Trinity (rip). He's very strong in lane with ranged poke, sustain and a very big slow with barrels/speed up with barrels. So his laning is very strong and hard to fight, but in my opinion the worst thing is his sustain in lane. I think a good fix to current situation is to reduce the slow on his barrels, I feel he doesn't need a slow and massive armor pen.
But the main change: Change Oranges to Heal for normal flat amount+ % damage taken in the last 2-3 seconds, like Ekko's ult. Cause right now, I'll just sit back and eat oranges by tower while the enemy laner pushes. And if you have Ocean Dragon, gg, infinite sustain.
I feel like this change would make him a little easier to punish early game so he isn't regaining 100 hp while out of combat with lvl 1 oranges if he's low
Also I'm rank 6 with gp and he's my highest mastery point champion.
may actually be the issue. It's really strong right now, seeing how Jax, Irelia, and GP have over a 50% win rate with it. In addition, His oranges cost a TON of mana to use in lane, even with the mana regen mastery. The heal is pretty good, but not THAT good based on the amount of mana it costs. It is also worth noting that GP is pretty immobile and squishy.
