Help your jungler help you.

What the fuck is up with these laners today who won't fucking listen or help the jungler AT ALL? I have had every single game today be where the enemy jungler can do whatever the fuck he wants in my jungle, and no matter how many times I ping, no matter how many times I ask for warding assistance.. THEY WON'T MOVE. I don't fucking get it. Everyone of you kids wants to rage at the jungler "better jungle wins," "jungle didn't gank me," "enemy jungler ganked me 5 times," and the best excuse is "i had 3 minions at the tower."

Here's an idea, help your jungler HELP YOU by allowing him to be successful. When your jungler is successful, it translates into more success for your team. Loosen up your fucking chinstraps people, unclick the seatbelt that you seem to have to wear to play League, and let's fucking go!

wait you are asking for them to come to your jg to help you? I'm just asking for them to not fucking int three times before i'm even level three.

IP Masquerena9 votes

Wait, you're getting a leash? I'm just asking for help at the 1st buff, as in more than half my placement games, my laners didn't even want to help with that.

Heck, a Teemo top even told me "that if I want him to help me with a leash, I need to first gank his lane, then he'll leash the 1st buff".

Piki Pico1 votes

I would and always just start bottom, I’m low elo too. Mids and tops don’t seem to leash anymore, or at least check in champ select who will.

IP Masquerena3 votes

I prefer the red start because it gives me 2 very strong options:

  • Steal the enemy blue (+ Gromp and Wolfs in case he doesn't come at that side fast) making it basically vertical jungling in case he does the same
  • If the enemy started blue, I just go Krugs then Scuttler/Raptors and get level 3 off of those 3 camps, allowing me do duel enemies if they try to Rambo me due to the advantage of both the red buff and my extra spell.

It's just odd that they don't do it so often now. Before the new patch, I never had issues with leashes.

RISE Shlack1231 votes

If top or mid has to leash, they almost always concede the lvl 2 power spike to their opponent. Unless your champion just simply must have the topside buff first, it's best to start bot for a better leash in a lane that almost always has at least one ranged champion with a support to compensate for losing wave control.

Oh god

The worst part is.... If you don't gank when they demand you get flamed for the rest of the game.

Daddy Ants4 votes

When I jungle I always start the game by saying.

"No leash? No Ganks"

If I ask for a leash and I don't get it, I won't gank the lane who refused to leash me.

Tbh, I understand your sentiment. As a supp main, its normal for me to help leash.

HOWEVER, every now and then, I get these confused idiots who first head to whichever buff is close to top lane and then stays there. So naturally, me and my adc will run to some bush, do some warding and try to get a good early cheese out of the enemy laners (e.g. tribush below drake). Then suddenly, the jungler changes his mind and decides to run to the opposite buff near bot lane and pings us back to help leashing when we're already in position to ambush the enemy bot lane.

Honestly? FK that. Make up your mind. If you do this kind of shit, you should not be surprised if youre not getting a leash.

Now ofc this isnt meant personally for you, I'm just saying I have this happening every other game and im sick of it.

Jungle's my 3rd role though.

I'm an ADC Main.

ApollyonBainer1 votes

Heres why they do that. Most of the time your top will not watch or ward his opposite buff because naw. SO that means the jg has to. Or the other scenario if they are going in to take your buff right away it will be their jg and top lane. If your top get caught out its bad news. He is just there for that support.

Some jg will check and ward their red and then take their blue. Its all a part of map control. I wouldnt get too worked up about it though. they are just being thorough.

Unless they dont know what they are doing. If the buffs spawn and he decides to run across the map to his other buff wish him gl cuz that is stupid and he is putting himself so far behind

I don't see why you're looking for a 2v3 fight at level 1. Unless you're playing blitz/thresh with a draven or something, you're just handing over free gold.

That's actually how you're supposed to do it though...

The JG generally wants wait near an entrance too his jungle on the opposite side of where he is starting and watch for someone trying to sneak a ward in or ward pixel brush ect for himself. There is also a strat where you drop a ward in the pixel brush at the very start of the game recall and buy sweeper then head to the buff the opposite side of where you dropped the ward.

It's better to look at what JG item + which jungler he is rather then were he stand before 1:15.

On the current patch

Purple side auto attack based junglers that arent heavy gankers like Yi/Udyr should start blue. Early pressure junglers like Lee/Cam should always start red. AoE/Tank Junglers can start either red or blue, normally red/raptors is primary start

Blue side. Every jungler should always start Red.

Iv had some awful experiences on both sides. Iv had games where I am top and not ONCE did the jungler bother to visit my lane, not once. It's like they think there are only 2 lanes in the game. Other times I will play jungle and not.one.teammate can be bothered to place control wards to find/destroy enemy wards. Then wonder why the enemy retreats to their tower just as I am approaching their lane to gank. So when I pop oracle lens, WHAT A SURPRISE!, wards are inside bushes/river that my teammate neglected to do anything about prior to them pinging me a million damn times to visit their lane. Or they simply cannot get behind the idea forcing the enemy players to sit under their tower makes it much harder to secure ganks.

Nothing you can do about it in short.

Have you seen the patch notes? I'm a jg main and am doing better in EVERY other role with 0 experience, in fact, my supports FEEL stronger and more impactful on a straight up fighting match.

haha eksdy yeah right. Maybe you are so bad at jungling, having 0 experience would be beneficial for you. Jungle will loose impact once junglers fall behind in levels in respect to laners. You turning up lvl 2 on mid while im still lvl 1 is not normal. Getting first blood on 3rd minute is not normal. Burning flash of someone with half of your kit not available is not normal. Having shit jungle pathing and still being able to gank is not normal. Jungling is a joke since experience and passive gold gain changes. Go back to season 4 and tell me how is jungling working out for you. Shit pathing? You loose 1v2 fights because you are under leveled. Want to play gank heavy champs? Better not fuck it up because exhaust on 60 second cooldown item 3715 did not exist. Jungling is literally the most effortless role with highest impact in the game. You play complex champions? In jungle? Who fuckin cares. Playing trynd top is harder than playing the highest APM jungler at the moment. You think gank positioning is hard? Dont make me laugh. Vision changes made your positioning simplest yet. All you have to do is think little about it. You dont have to manage waves like laners do when they roam. You can just show up and fuck flow of laner entirely by simply standing in a bush for 30 seconds. You dont loose anything by camping like this. It requires literally 0 effort.

I played since beta, sounds like you just suck at warding so blame "jg too easy hurrdurr" for losing ganks when they're on par with you.

I always try to rotate to help my jungler, whether it be with scuttle at lvl 2-3 or in their own jungle if being invaded. If I can't rotate because the enemy lane has priority, I ping heavily to make it known. Either way, I do what I can always to help my jungler. They're on my team, and their success is my success.

Ehhh... I agree and disagree. Laners have their own ish going on too, often times I’m in a trade myself so I can’t oay attention to ur pings at the time. Another case (much rarer tho) is that I have the waves set up so that it’d actually be detrimental to help the jg (if they’re in no real particular danger and I’m able to help).

To make up for that I ward, this is what I thought ud be getting at. I play mid and will generally ward the jg entrance to the enemy’s raptors and put a CTRL ward in the middle river brush. That gives you and I the chance to see a potential invade and track the enemy jg, as well as gives the chance to ping in advance and be prepared for a skirmish. When I’m lucky, the jg will is a similar wars set up and at that point mid is pretty much a guaranteed win. If other Laners did something similar there’s more information and strategic communication going on.

If your in hyper low elo and not playing a self sufficient playstyle that doesn't require any teammates to help you then thats on you. The climb is going to be rough. You've prob got a less than 50/50 chance that the people on your team in that game even want to win.

Blackfin971 votes

This isn't just the case with laners but with players overall.

I've played top lane and jungler today and both the experiences have been terrible. It could be because people have had their ranks updated after the season kicked in, but the players I have been playing with hardly have any idea on how to go about their game.

They either stand around during group fights or run away when you engage, or walk around too hesitant to take any damage and hardly exchange blows. Moreover none of them bar one amazing player knew how to counter gank and I stopped playing after this match where the opponent jungler literally sat in my bush camping me whereas mine moved from raptors to krugs despite my pings.

The state of the game may improve after the ranks have settled down but as it stands right now, I feel like am playing with first timers.

SilentBomber1 votes

In my 25 last games i had junglers that literally had 0/0/0 in 13 minutes or were inting their ass because the had no idea how to play.At least 1 of 3 lanes were perma pushed yet they did not help at all.Hence a large losing streak.

Posting some ideas about how laners should help their junglers to be more successful would be more constructive than saying crap "stop dying, play safe, stupid laners e.t.c." like the jungle role is a godlike.

2 sides of the same coin dude.Be constractive and post tactics.Do not provoke laners by calling them kids.We laners can also judge you.

While i agree that there are some who just dont seem to have any awareness at all........there are also junglers who have 0 respect for the thing called "lane priority".

Seriously i cant go help you with that invading lee sin when i am sitting as sivir with a neeko support under tower against a thresh+draven, or when playing midlane as ......something that isnt Leblanc against Leblanc or another assassin really.

He doesn't have CC he has Q+W. His smite doesn't do anything but kill a caster minion. His flash allows him to get 1 more auto in big fucking deal. He has a JG item vs dblade which is a means he has 700+gold less of combat stats, but most importantly he can't fight into 2 minions waves at level 2.

Incorrect, he has Q+E.

Had he not gone through tri, Morg could have helped him, but he made a terrible decision.

Hence, why should I help junglers when most are troglodytes?

I once was facing a Twitch JG as an Udyr in champ select told my bot lane in champ select that Twitch was gonna start red and then look to cheese gank bot or mid on the first wave. Then i told them again, at the start of the game, they decided this meant they should try to cheese the opposing bot lane by waiting in tribush. I told them just don't die to the level 2 gank and this Twitch will counter jungle this kid so hard that he will be 2 levels behind and no gold lane pressure all game. 1:45 the twitch gets a double kill in tribrush. Bot went 1/14 and hit me with the "GG better JG wins"

It comes from QT, T1 and a few other popular "high elo" streamers who literally blame the jungler for everything always.

It's honestly sad how few non-pro laners understand how the Jungle works

If there is a JG contest in river or during an invade, the team who's laners rotate first will likely be the winners of that game. They have a better macro sense AND they are about to have an early advantage by winning a crucial fight.

The OP is super super super right. JG and laners work together. The jungler is not a support for every lane.

ew, jg mains circlejerking each other. how about ward your jg, stop afk farming, and learn to gank instead of standing in bush.
