Harsher Punishment for People That Leave Ranked Games
I don't know what it is but lately I've been having so many ranked games 4v5. In the last week, I've been a man down 4-5 times. Oddly enough, managed to win one of those games.
Anyway, not here to complain about my luck.
In my opinion there should be harsher punishments on people who leave in the middle of ranked games. I'm talking about the kids that go 0/4 call their jungler trash and then just leave like my auerlion sol in the last game. Or the person who gets firstblooded and decides the game is over for him so just leaves. Someone who is talking shit the entire game can be carried while an afker cannot. And there seems to be way harsher punishments put on flamers than ragequitters.
Leaving in the middle of a game puts your team at a WAY bigger disadvantage than a negative attitude. 99% of the time it means copping a loss. So why do afkers get off so lightly in comparison? The last time I truly had to leave in the middle of a game, it was because the fire alarm went off in my dorm and I had to evacuate the building. I remember coming back and receiving a little prompt stating "do u promise not to leave again" or some shit and I had to type "yes" or my username or something. You let people off this easy? Really?
Thing is, the people that ragequit in games most likely do not do it just once. And I get that sometimes there are situations when you really have to leave so the first time, yes, these people should get a warning. If u ask a league player how many times they have truly had to leave a game in the last 2 weeks or so, many will tell you 0 and many will tell you once MAYBE twice but I highly doubt it. So players that leave twice in a two week period should get a harder punishment imo or something like that.
Another idea is you could apply this harsher punishment for leaving only to ranked games. This would make people think "do I really have enough time to play this game" so that they don't end up having to leave 35 mins into a close game and fuck their teams chances of winning. Because at least if someone leaves in a Normal game, while it is a little annoying, nothing is on the line. Players who have "enough time for a league game" but not "enough time for a long league game" will go to Normals.
Lmk what yall think
