An item that gives you Armor when you're facing an opponent and MR when your back is turned.

That... sounds way too gimmicky to actually work. It would be useless in too many situations for it to be useful is the problem. It would only work against adc's when facing them, not when running away. And if you try to fight a mage head on it also becomes useless, only works when running away.
