Give Dragon global gold again

So Riot wanted to add some strategic diversity to League, which is great, but you didn't do anything in reality. You just made it to where the whole game is run on Dragon. I have teams that stay at Dragon a minute early just so they can get it first, causing our other lanes to get pushed. And if you can't get Dragon you are basically screwed. The new buff system on him is toxic to the whole game. You guys were scared of global gold causing champions to snowball, but have no problem giving them a buff on the first dragon kill, which lets you shit all over your lane opponent. I was losing as a yasuo against a fizz, but then after we got dragon I just completely steamrolled him. This game is turning into an absolute pile of shit all because of the emphasis on dragon.

Scared of global gold causing champions to snowball...what?

Also to put things into perspective, by the early/mid game point that most teams are able to get their first dragon, the 8% AD bonus is basically just a longsword for most ADCs. If the equivalent of 1 longsword is enough to completely turn around lanes, which it shouldn't be, something other than the dragon is the source of your problem.

Look at the numbers. They aren't impressive early and hardly game changing. Going for dragons means you're going for a later game than the opposing team, who can push turrets and gain a gold advantage. The only way dragon becomes a non-risk is if you have the enemy pushed and there's no way they could possibly take a turret before you grab it and return to lanes to push them out again.

I've won 2 games in a row that I really should not have. The only reason was because we managed to get the dragons, and just farmed til late game. For example, one game they had a fed zed and akali, but we just stalled until late game, got the 5 dragon buff, and a baron buff and steamrolled them 5v5. The combination of 5 dragon buff and baron buff is what wins games due to the sheer amount of pushing power they hold. I understand that Riot was tired of the 60min turtle fest games, but honestly, if 5 dragons and a baron is a win condition, stalling for objectives is made even easier with the changes to towers and seige minions.

Try saying that again when you feed an enemy Fizz and saying you're regretting taking dragon for buffs because it felt "cheating".
