Talon Matchups

well against he can be really strong but if she ults she can still hit him when he stealths also since she has no mana she can poke you down to the ground if you let her and she can dodge rake with her shunpo against he can bat her late game but early is hard to fight her and mid game might be hard he is decent against early game is good mid game is a meh unless you rushed late game talon wins the fights one v one and might give him problems early and mid game because of the shield and wind wall blocking his ult and Rake ahri is just hard for me to fight with any champion so i can't give much info on her might be hard since he can silence him then do his whole combo is pretty easy since she is a basic mage with low armor but she can out range and stun him and and are the easiest match ups for him to fight since he can dodge most of their stuff with cutthroat and burst them down without much of a fight
same as above with him now a good xer will give most assassins trouble since he drastically out ranges them and has a stun and slow to keep them at bay and talon is no exception has always been weak to talon since again he can just dodge all her shit then go in for the kill
when was strong i would have said talon gets countered hard by her since once he goes in with cut throat she just stealths then recollects herself to burst you used to be a hard counter for him but his solo lanes got nerfed hard is pretty strong to him since she can ult to not take damage from his ult and can poke him down and cc him if he gets too close talon is somewhat weak to since she can zone him and poke with auto attacks but then again talon late game is pretty hard to fight with most squishy champions unless they have good cc and the best way to fight talon is poke him out of lane since he has no sustain also if you are manaless abuse talon if you can since he will need to go back when oom. place pink wards before team fights to help you cc him before he can reach your adc or mid laner. supports that counter him are and any kind of disengaged support. the adc that can fight him well is since she can condemn him away then tumble stealth. best champions to shut him down are since they can cc him and mao can reduce the AOE damage he does with ult
talon has no escape besides his ult but be careful when trying to gank him as jungle since he might try to cut throat behind you to get away is also a decent champion to fight talon with since he has his pole to avoid a big part of his damage for items the best that work with him would be and or what you want to do as talon is always try to flank the other team so you can pick off the adc or mage or even both if you can thats all i really have to say have fun and good luck talon is not the assassin that we deserve but need.....

Hi! I main talon, and I have played him vs just about every other mid laner. Heres a list of matchups that will help you. You out damage her post 6. Just start poking her at lv 4 or 5 with rake and go all in at 6. Do not try to fight her pre 6. Pretty easy matchup for talon Highly annoying lane matchup. She has good sustain and she deals a lot of damage. I would avoid this one until you are pretty good at talon. Dodge her q and you should be good. Talon counters immobile mages like anivia. He can also kill her egg fast because his autos deal a lot of dmg. I dont get why people think of annie as a counter to talon. You just have to make sure her stun is not up at lv 6 and just all in her. Annoying poke and his ult can be annoying. Medium-Hard difficulty. A good gank can get you going though, and the lane will be yours. Similar to anivia. Dodge poke and all in at 6. Avoid this matchup. She is a ridiculous lane bully. Talon also has a weak laning phase without items. Her lv 6 is scary for a melee assassin too. Also very tough. He has good sustain and is too tanky for you to burst down. Skill matchup. She has a bit of tankiness with her shield but nothing talon cant handle. I would ask for a gank because this lane will snowball one way or the other. Easy lane for talon. Ekko does not have the burst that talon does and he has trouble completing the all in without taking massive damage. I like to bait his ult out and then all in him when my e comes back up. AP- Another easy matchup. He is very squishy and can be bursted down quickly. I really hate playing vs fizz as talon. He has a much stronger lv 3 than talon and he can dodge your rake and ult with playful trickster. Avoid this one. Try to roam bot to get kills. I play talon to counter galio's passive but he can still kill you so be careful. Very annoying as you take a lot of damage from his turrets if you try to all in him. Avoid this matchup Not seen very much in the mid lane but you do counter her. Poke her down until lv 6 then all in. Look for this matchup. Karthus is immobile and he has a weak laning phase and mid game. He is easily bursted down. Just dodge skittles and look for opportunities to cut throat in. Also a pretty easy one. He doesnt do a ton of damage and his passive and q shield are useless vs AD casters like talon and zed. Look for a pre 6 gank to get you ahead and then dominate the lane. Wait until her E is on cd and then just all in her. Your combo is quicker than kats so just use it before she can get her full ult off. Hard lane because of kayles ult. I would avoid this one until you are skilled with talon. THE MOST ANNOYING TALON MATCHUP IN MID LANE IDC WHAT ANYONE ELSE SAYS. Yeah i hate this guy, especially if he gets spellvamp. Skill matchup. Go in when her w is on cd. Avoid this one. Her ult shits on you and she can polymorph you to prevent your combo. Easy matchup. Immobile mage. Go in at lv 6 and kill her if she is poked down a bit. I find this one moderately easy for talon. Unless the malz is really good at pressing keys fast then you should get your combo off every time. Easy one too. Her black shield doesnt negate AD damage. Look for this one to pick talon into. Just dont give her an early kill and the lv 6 will be easy to kill her. Riven mid counters you. If you learn to go in when her cds are down then it becomes better but try to roam to get kills. He is hard to burst down because he is tanky and his ult heals him. Avoid this one. Easy one just dont get stunned and she is free gold. Probably the best matchup to pick talon into. Veigar is very squishy and he can not burst you as well as he can to ap mages. All in at 6 should result in a kill. Immobile mage. See lux karthus anivia ^ ^ ^^^^ ^^^ just dont get cced and youre fine. All in when he has no shadow. Second easiest matchup for talon. If he engages on you with his ult, pop yours and run away. Your ult is also on a shorter cd, so right when it comes back up kill him.

Everyone summed it up pretty well. Now, Talon withe rework is amazingly powerful. I all in at level 2 with Noxian diplomacy and Rake. The Blade's End passive can extinguish pretty much any midlaner at level 2. Just poke with rake at level 1. When they are at low-ish helath like 50%-65% all in. Get the main Rake and the return in. Noxian Diplomacy to complete the passive. Q resets the autoattack timer so you get another attack in fast. If you have ignite and you're confident it will hill them, use it. It's really important you feint attacks to pop and flash, shield, or CC if they have any. Watch out for their jungle. Make sure they aren't nearby. This strategy works and has always worked for me. You can get first blood REALLY easily this way.
