How to Counter an Immobile Mage as an Assassin?

Hey guys, How do you counter an immobile mage as an assassin? I know u like use ur gap-closing ability to counter the mage's cc ability/important ability, but I'm not sure how that exactly works. Like a lux might hardly/never use her q and just use her e, and as a result, it's not safe to go all-in. Additionally, I don't know if this just my bad reaction time or whatever, but when the cc ability pops to u, it goes too fast for u even gap-close. I would appreciate some advice on this topic, thanks!

Pretend like you're doing something spooky to get them to burn their CC, dodge it, then go in.

spam all of your abilities at once. easiest way to win lane.

Most assassins are very big counters to mages, you just need to use their mobility right. Mages like Lux can stop an assassin in their tracks but only if they can actually land their skillshots, and the unpredictable movements of assassins can make that impossible.

Someone like Talon jumping behind a Lux will usually result in her dying because even if she predicts his blink, waiting for him to appear behind her will result in her snare being useless. She won't be able to run away before he finishes comboing her.

Try to avoid their targeted 100-0 mega CC combo of death
