Just a tip for some players, basically low elo in general

You know this will get down votes but I also know that lot of people will agree when read it.

  1. pick a main and a back up you know I say this because I see to often people just go who they feel like and who they think counters their lane comp. This isn't really right in low elo we can all agree and say that you aren't going your best possible champ. Find someone you really enjoy playing and get good at them, keep playing them but don't try to one trick pony it. However, GET GOOD IN NORMS. it is practice and doesn't effect others. Once your comfortable with them then shoot for ranked.

I main top. Some say top sucks, and that its a useless lane but I love the spot. now why I say this is because it has helped me climb and realize that I pull that crap a lot, and my P1 friend kept calling me out on it. thank god he did. I found that I really love Quinn shes mobile and can usually help other lanes and I NEVER get tired of her. My back-up is Illaoi her ability to be passive yet dominate in a situation that doesn't look like its going her way is just my play style.

  1. Know when to be done for the day. I call it 2 and done. If I lose 2 or more in a row I'm off for a least a couple of hours. You will get frustrated and irritated at your "shit" teams. Just cool off. get your head back straight and then go back at it. no reason to add salt to a game right? leaves a bad taste in the mouth when you lose.

  2. Realize YOUR mistakes over OTHERS. If your support is "shit" or your adc is don't put them down. Riot says it all the time. positivity is good. if you put them down they will struggle. maybe give advice but don't tilt over one bad decision. If you mess up realize what you did wrong and fix it, maybe play passive till you catch back up. Its a team game but you need to improve on yourself. Don't blame the jg for not coming to your lane after you have died 3 times to someone. you are now behind and he is ahead. the jg most likely knows he'll lose and doesn't want to feed the guy more. be passive. It isn't a bad thing. get cs under tower. be safe. usually your opponent will get bored and make a dumb decision which can benefit you.

  3. WE HAVE A MUTE BUTTON if you don't like what someone is saying why give into them and fight? it puts you on tilt. you don't even have to announce it guys come on. Just hit that mute button and fix what you did.

Now I say this but I am not high elo. Attempting to get there I got to S1 last season after starting B3 with a 65% win ratio in ranked. But I want others in low elo realize that they can improve without saying its ELO HELLS FAULT. NO its not. its yours. Almost all champs have a chance in the game to turn it for your team.

For all high elo players reading this. you might laugh, you might say I am wrong, but give some advice to the people we play with down here. Maybe you can help improve their skills without them relying so much on others

Sometimes OTP'ing a champion is fun tho. Can you tell who I OTP?

Obv Kog. it can be fun but they aren't always good you know. they might get nerfed then going them isn't nearly as good in some situations

Ya, he's tough but I think I still am maintaining a 55% winratio on him. Somewhere around that I think.

True. So far this season I have a 62% wr, last season was 42%. It's an improvement. I don't play much though, but I am almost in promos for bronze 3 haha. Slowly climbing. I've found that I do best at top/adc. Can't support anymore in bronze LOL.

Not sure why you were downvoted.

I played pretty much 4 champions throughout last season and climbed from b4 -> g5 (without me really sitting down and grinding). Limiting your champion pool and getting good at those specific champions is the best way to climb.

Skill > Counterpicks

^A recent Jax learned that when he picked against my Darius

Exactly why I say that. But you noticed in the climb like I did that people usually pick to counter. So am I not wrong in saying pick a main and get good

The way I view it: bronze-gold is relatively the same thing in terms of skill, plat is where you start seeing significant improvements, and diamond is about where players get actually good.

So under my view I see it as this:

Anywhere Plat 3 or below (ish) is where counterpicks don't matter. If you've diamond skill level/situational understanding/map awareness on a comfortable champ like Darius then you should be able to beat a gold-level Jayce or Jax 8/10 times.

To further expand on your completely true tip, I'd suggest picking a champion that can participate late game too. That way even if you win lane but the rest of your team is losing it isn't a "we can only win in the next 10 minutes or my champ will fall off" situation it'll be a "can we last a little longer for you guys to catch up and I'll still have my carry potential?".

Too many damn Pantheons in low elo are 10/1 and go "wtf my team fcking sucks report" 53 mins into the game when in reality it's because their champion doesn't scale well and their team comp falls off because of it.
