I have really always liked her, but I've tried her jungle a handful of times and to be honest I feel like one of the weakest champs in the game. One of the weakest junglers in the game too even. Is she a viable pick? how can you make her good? what sort of things do you need to be doing?
Not really. The main, and pretty much the only, problem is that the missile speed on her Q is far too slow for what it's supposed to be.
Go ahead and try to look up guides. It's absolutely ridiculous. The first and most important thing they all say is that you either have to be far better at prediction than anyone else in the game has to for a reward that's nowhere near as good, or just never throw a Q until you're within AA range.
All the ones I've seen actually said verbatim, "you are going to miss the first Q against every enemy." And that you then have to remember and assume they'll dodge in the same direction every time.
Nobody remembers Nidalee (to the point one of Neeko's lines is how she misses her), because of what her rework did to her.
She's just no longer fun to play, since you're forced to be an assassing with an unreliable "get-in" tool, instead of a versatile spear-siege support.

Yes but you need alot of experience with her.
Jungle Nidalee has been hit with many nerfs over the last few years, I believe the 700 range pounce into execute playstyle to be the problem.
If Nidalee had to rely on another champion to be successful in a gank (such as the laner Nidalee is ganking for), Nidalee would be in a healthier state of balance. Currently in most ganks where Nidalee succeeds, she could have done all the work herself without laner response.
yes, shes fine if you are a challenger smurf. for everyone else she's pretty unremarkable and many junglers do what she can do but much easier and without half as much effort.
