You know what really isnt fun?

Literally being forced onto certain champs in order to win in your role. Yes, I am aware of the fact that a meta has always existed and some champions will always be stronger than others, but this patch it feels overbearing, especially on Jungle, Top and Support.

Specifically, I am talking about Camille , Pyke and Irelia

While other champions are certainly viable in those positions, I'm always left to wonder one thing when I play against any of them: "Why am I not picking that champion?" The problem is that each of these champions is just too good overall and has no clear weakness.

Sure, Pyke cant build health and is therefore extremely squishy, but his W and E make for great escapes so he usually gets out anyways. From Midgame onwards, his ult is so strong that unless he goes in without his teammates, he will usually be able to snack 1 or 2 kills before escaping unscathed. It is very frustrating to play against what is basically a second midlaner damage-wise, because apart from tankiness, he lacks nothing and therefore outperforms most supports.

Camille Jungle is also way too good at what she does. Her ganks, both pre 6 and post 6, are nearly unavoidable because of her E's ridiculous range and her Ult which outright prevents any escapes. You cant really fight back against her tho, because she has extremely high damage and even a shield. Her mobility allows her to run around the map freely and pick up kills, while she can easily get out of sticky situations. She has to waste all of her spells for you to even have a shot at killing her, and even then she can turn around easily because the damage on her W is straight up busted. You would think that she has a bad jungle clear to make up for her strengths, but nah, she is also amazing at farming the jungle. There is literally no reason not to pick Camille Jungle right now.

Lastly, Irelia . She has been nerfed a few times now and is much more bearable, but she suffers from the same problem that the other two do: She has no clear weakness and is just too good at everything. She has extremely good clear, CC, initiation, is durable enough to survive multiple enemies hitting her while at all times having the chance of turning everything around with her R. She is extremely frustrating to play against and even if you keep her down, she can easily come back with a good R.

This might be because its preseason, but I still think it should be addressed. Make Camille's clear slower or increase her E's cooldown, make Pyke's R not go through shields and reduce the bonus MS he gets from his W, and reduce Irelia's Q damage.

I am by no means an expert on this game, but I am very frustrated with it at the moment and I feel like my complains and solutions are justifiable. I am putting this out because I want to hear other people's opinion on these champs. Maybe someone can even tell me how I can tackle them more effectively...

Cheers

While I agree with the Camille and Irelia complaints, I disagree with the Pyke complaints.

When his ultimate is shut down, he's very ineffective in teamfights. One quick round of CC and some smart focus will instantly destroy him at any point in the game. If he's becoming that much of a problem in your games, switch your attention to locking him down or using champions with higher mobility.

because apart from tankiness, he lacks nothing and therefore outperforms most supports.

He lacks range and reliability. Nami, Leona, Alistar, Braum, Karma, Morgana, and Rakan all have much more reliable engages that can't simply be walked out of. Pyke's Q, E, and R, can all be evaded entirely and his entire kit can be shut down with a simple heal or hard CC spell.

The meta gets forced onto us harder every season, and yes its a nuisance to be a handicap to your team because you didn't pick a Godtier champ at your role.

Don't forget most of this is caused by the abomination called runes reforged and their lack of caring about real balance.

You forgot Urgot

There is no reason why you wouldn't ban or pick.

-Is he a bully? check. -Penalizes most top lane champ pool blind pick wise? check. -Late game comeback potential? check. -Need another knockup for your midlaner Yasuo or cc chain? check. -Long-range MK scorpion-like come ova here ability? check. Even if you kill it before he kills your teammate with his ult, guess what? he still disrupted their position. -Still no Star guardian skin release yet? check. Yes i must mention this. its crucial. This thread balance purpose oriented all the way! -Shields on top of shields? check. -Righteous Glory user? check. -Even GA user? check. I think im done. Check.
