Sion Q nerf makes no sense, ESPECIALLY for AD Sion players

The PBE changes kind of weird me out. What does it accomplish other than nerfing AD Sion and keeping E-max tank Sion superior?

Q - Decimating Smash DAMAGE RATIO - 0.65 total attack damage ⇒ 0.45/0.5/0.55/0.6/0.65 total attack damage FULL CHARGE DAMAGE - 1.95 total attack damage ⇒ 1.35/1.5/1.65/1.8/1.95 total attack damage

I get that by level 9 or so the damage is going to be the same, but the main thing with AD Sion is the ability to cheese in lane. Considering how fast games go nowadays, not long after Level 9 you're going to be out of lane a lot, and AD Sion has to play teamfights smart, because it's arguably the worst part of the game for him. Not to mention how easily interrupted his Q is.

I can't really wrap my head around it. If they wanted to nerf Sion, why not touch on the STRONGER part of his kit (his E)?

I'm no challenjour, but nerfing the total AD ratio won't do much to nerf tank Sion, because he doesn't build AD in the first place.

As a sion player, this nerf actually makes sense. It is TOTAL ad, not BONUS ad, which means at lvl9 you usually had 60 + 190 damage just from base while maxing E. Now, if you max E, you'll have approximately 60 + 135 damage from, that is IF you get the 2 seconds charge off. This is a pretty significant nerf to his early dominance lane. I think they simply wanted to nerf people that maxxed E while keeping the max Q strategy viable. They did a good job in my opinion.
