Almost never get my primary in the new picker

I play botlane. So I pick Bot primary, Support secondary. But I get Support well over 50% of the time. If it were 50%, I would not be complaining. But I would totally be willing to wait in the queue a little longer to get my primary more often.

Here's the real problem I think Riot needs to solve: I have been told how to fix this. Pick Bot/Mid. Since Mid is so popular, I'll usually get Bot. But I'm not the best Mid player, so I am running the risk of getting into games in a role I'm not so good at, which is bad for my team.

So the system as it stands is encouraging bad behavior.

Note: this is regarding games I play solo. When I queue with more people, it's more likely I get my primary.

You should be proficient in 2 roles. If your only good roles are bot and support, and support is the least popular role, it's not the que's fault for giving you that position the majority of the time.

Just because you're proficient in two roles doesn't mean you always feel like playing those roles. Somedays I feel like only supporting. Somedays I feel like only ADC. When there was team builder, people didn't have to worry about that. ;)

I am not complaining because I am not proficient with support. My stats say I'm actually better at support than ADC. But ADC is more fun for me. I am complaining because "primary" isn't behaving as "primary" as it should.

I'm even reasonably proficient at JG Top and Mid, having been playing ranked since season 3.

The game que has always prioritizes getting into a que quickly over things like connection, and in normal que mmr, so that the majority of players don't have to sit in 30min que times. So the que will almost always que you in your secondary role if it means getting into a game quicker; and since your secondary is support you are more likely to get that role.

And I'm saying I want to adjust the wait time. I don't mind waiting a minute instead of 0.25 seconds if i means I get adc 50% of the time.

Totally, but team builder no longer exists so it doesn't matter if you only feel like playing one role.

Swap your primary and secondary role. Problem solved, ur gonna get ur wanted roles from now on ;D

On a serious note tho, I play four roles and there's this one role I can't play. I go primary jungle secondary fill. Welp, I got the one role I can't play.
