Hand-animated deaths.
HotS uses rag-doll deaths, and they just don't have any character.
Jinx hair-heart J4 hanging onto his spear Leona disappearing in a flash of light Zac melting Lulu popping and her hat fluttering to the ground
There's a lot of character in many of the various death animations, and I like that feature.

I agree with you though it's a level of care and polish that really helps thinges roll and oddly enough helps characterization.

Yeah, I feel really bad for the little dragon on that one. It's one of the few death animations that points out it's actually death, and what that means.

EROTIC RAID BOSS2 votesI agree. and different skins get different ones too- ie Azir dies and he turns into sand and falls apart. but when protoss azir (whatever its called) dies, he kinda phases out of existence. that stuff is really cool.

OIS1 votesHotS is pretty much a Blizzard fanboy's wet dream, so it doesn't have to have character IMO. Just some Blizzard characters duking it out sums that game up.
They have other games to build up that character, something Riot Games lacks.
