So I recently took an interest to Varus. I'm thinking of buying him, but however, I don't know if he'll make a good adc or mid since I rarely see him played. Any thoughts? :D

Tbh skill always trumps meta. So play him if you like him, doesn't matter if it's meta, if you're good enough and enjoy it, you'll do well.

As a experienced Varus played i find him to be really weak in mid this pre season, he's stronger at ADC.

But you should try him to form your own opinion before taking mine.

I would recommend giving his AP on hit build a try, they recently changed his ult so it not only procs stacks of blight but also applies 3 stacks, allowing him to get some crazy burst damage

He is also pretty good as an ADC right now since you can get a lot of CDR from item 3508 , making his legolas build work pretty well item 3031 item 3158 item 3072 item 3812 item 3139 item 2140

He is an absolute blast to play, definitely go for it. Nothing more satisying than the blind Q into the drag pit and hearing "Double Kill!" "Ally team has slain the Dragon!"
