Item Sets reset after every patch

Rito, item sets keep resetting after every single patch. I really like being able to make my own item sets, it's really convenient for me when I'm in game to just have my own item sets and it is a tool I utilize often. I find it very frustrating to have to remake all of my item sets every patch.

Now I'm not a programmer or anything like that so I don't know what all makes this happen but isn't there a way to fix this Rito? Please please please and thank you.

I stopped making Item Sets because of this.

Happens to me too. VERY annoying.

I've heard that the information on your custom item sets (at least in Windows 7) is located in the following folder:

C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client\releases\0.0.1.113\deploy\preferences

Note that the "0.0.1.113" folder changes numbers after each patch I think, if not more frequently. What you can try to do is copy the files to another place in your computer before a patch installation. I've never had my item sets delete, but after I heard the above information, I always copy the info fairly often just in case (since I have, I think, 200+ item sets now, and I would be devastated if I lost them forever).

Hope that helps (if not, let me know), and hopefully someone who can confirm this will come along.

This hasn't happened to me yet.

Happened to me twice in the space of a few days. Not sure what happened to the first item sets -- the second ones were removed by today's patch from .113 to .114 (???). Copying over the preference files doesn't work. Even just copying over the item block data into new sets doesn't work -- LoL stubbornly wipes them.

What's going on here, Riot? If item sets are in beta and the format is constantly changing or something, fine, but there should be something that indicates that item sets are not ready for regular use yet.
