Clairvoyance should be removed

TLDR {{summoner:2}} should be removed since item 3363 does the same thing without sacrificing a summoner spell. Its like a repeat at greater cost.

{{summoner:2}} Clairvoyance is a summoner spell which reveals a small area of the map globally for 5 seconds in a small range and on a 60 second cooldown. You know what else does that? item 3342 Scrying orb! A trinket you can get for free which is like a worse version of {{summoner:2}} (but doesnt take up a summoner spell slot which could be filled with something more useful. Also you can pay ONLY 250 G to upgrade it so that its improved to do guess what: reveal a small area of the map (similar radius as {{summoner:2}} ) in a 4000 range for 5 seconds on a 60 second cooldown AND places a miniward for 60 seconds

So lets look at the pros and cons to both:

So lets just dismiss the 250 g cost for argument sake because that amount of gold is fairly low and easy to get. The range of the whole map is 12000 units unless my info is outdated, which means by standing in the center of the map your trinket will reach only 35% of the map. But is that really a big loss? Realistically the uses of lighting up the outward lanes are very limited as far as {{summoner:2}} is concerned, but rather it is normally used to check objectives and get timers etc like on baron, dragon, buffs, or just to check a bush. item 3363 can do all of those things effectively at that from 1/3 of the map away, meaning to light up baron if you are at base you need only walk 1/6 the map distance, or 2000 units (should be around the edge of your base) Now looking at the other difference, which kind of slot it uses. With {{summoner:2}} you are missing out on much more valuable effects, such as summoner 14 dealing 70-410 true damage summoner 12 Teleporting summoner 7 healing for 90-345 hp and getting a substantial ms boost, etc. What are you missing out on with trinket slot? item 3361 item 3362 getting out all those wards which at least two of your teammates are doing already right? one usually has a sightstone which will cover most of your needs. item 3364 Awesome ward clearing abilities and true sight for those Akali Khazix MonkeyKing Shaco Twitch etc. BUT it requires you to go facecheck a lot of bushes, which on an adc (the role which usually takes item 3363 ) is a bad idea and a good way to cost your team the game if the enemy team was waiting for you. The other trinket choices for an adc are simply not as useful anyways as item 3363 due to range issues in the lategame (you don't want to get anywhere close to the front of your team if you don't have to!) whereas other summoner spells like summoner 4 summoner 7 summoner 14 summoner 21 summoner 6 etc all are much better on the adc for escaping and killing when it matters, since that is what your role does. Looking at it from the view of a non adc role, is it still worth missing the effect of the other trinkets in exchange for being able to take another summoner spell (assuming you want to fill that I'll check it from forever away role) Yeah it is worth it because the effects of most summoner spells are simply greater than the effects of trinkets in most cases! And beyond that the other summoner spell effects are more useful in general. Maybe riot could give a big buff to {{summoner:2}} or maybe they could just remove it completely!

I think it just needs to be changed. How about;

{{summoner:2}} Clairvoyance: Grants vision bonus depending on the target.

  • Vision Ward - Gives target Vision Ward True Sight.
  • Sight Ward - Can now see over terrain for 3 minutes.
  • Mandrake Ward - Increases ward duration by 30 seconds and gives small vision radius (Mandrake Ward on PBE gives no vision but simply pings when an enemy is near).
  • Turret - For 20 seconds, target friendly Turret gains increased perception and will always focus the lowest health enemy champion in range instead of following aggro.

New Ashe with clairvoyance and blue trinket op

Actually blue trinket doesn't have global range and the vision area is a lot smaller than clairvoyance.
