Which ranked system is the one we're supposed to use?
So, I've heard someone say Flex is the one that matters, but I'm a solo player.. So I don't know.
Which do people normally play?
Which one matters and gives the borders?

You can play whatever you want
Solo/duo is the "original" ranked queue though and the main one used by players who like to be competitive, while flex is more of a "casual" environment while still maintaining the competitive aspects.
Solo duo will give you the best match ups based on skill level ( that can behad ) flex will give you the same match ups typically that ranked teams used ot give you, 5 silvers? oh enemy has 2 plats, 9 silvers? oh 1 team has a diamond premade with them.
because flex ranking and solo duo ranking dont affect eachother more often than not the flex teams will not be of equal personal skill levels.
They both give borders and champion skin at the end of season. riot stated there will be an extra prize for those who get gold + in both ques.
