Can we cancel Remakes if someone returns right when it procs?

Was just in a game, had to change my daughter after I selected my champion.

Guess the game loaded and I got back right as the remake prompt appears, they all accept, even though I tell them I'm there now. I get a leaver and loss.

Is there a way to stop a remake, if the person comes back during it?
