Is Rek'Sai the weakest champion in the game?

I never really wanted to try her out because every time I've had her on my team she did poorly and every time I was against her she did poorly. But I thought to myself, maybe she's just really hard to play and that's why everyone does so bad when they play her.

Then I decided to try her out and I played 5 games with her today. Even though my ganks were amazing (or, would have been amazing, if I was playing any other jungler) and I came in at just the right time with the right angle, it didn't matter how well I could gank. Rek'Sai simply lacks the damage to have an impact and her knockup just isn't enough to justify a gank. I felt really weak and pretty much couldn't do anything because I just don't have any damage even though I was building warrior.

I don't understand the point of this champion. How is she strong at all? What is she good at? How is she better than Shyvana or Vi? Am I missing something?

If you are low elo then yes.

Top 5 weakest champions right now:

Note how they are all melee and toplaners except Morde who is nothing.

rek'sai is basically just used for roaming pressure and cc. i really wish they would up her damage because it feels extremely underwhelming

The main appeal to having a rek'sai on your team is supposed to be the pressure she brings through her sheer roaming ability, and the free low-cooldown teleport ult she has in the late game

she is good at team fight by spreading her damage around...she can do a true damage, auto attack resetting ability, she is versaile for how she plays,

spreading damage around a team is fairly useful and her mobility is what can make her a true threat...SHE'S EVERYWHERE!

if we look at some basic math....let's say she gets 2 targets...with sunfire cape, titanic hydra and her Q auto attacks, she has the potential to spread 1350 damage in 4 seconds while being ultra tanky (of course, I probably have that wrong but I assumed her bonus damage ends up about 200 like most melee carry abilities shrug

she has been nerfed repeatedly because she crowded picks in the LCS and could dominate solo queue...when she was first released she could literally 1v4 at level 3 get a kill and survive

Rek'sai isn't weak, she just has strengths that aren't valued anywhere but the highest levels of play.

Imagine if she had Shyvana's damage or Vi's CC. Now imagine that she still had her incredible map pressure with her ult. She'd be broken.

Rek'Sai is great when you have a coordinated team so you can engage and they will correctly respond. Currently unless you are in 5 man premade you can't really get that organization.
