League of Legends is lacking...

I used to play League of Legends seriously through Season 1-3. This is because I was able, as a solo-player, to carry my team to victory. I remember back in Season 3, my Diamond 5 game was me pulling off a clutch ult and penta-kill with Kayle during a 55 minute game, my team was dead, I ended the game by myself.

Then they changed the game to be more and more team-oriented, not just being able to back on one players skill.

This made the game more frustrating to play, because if a lane lost, the game was one-sided from the start, and if the players didn't know how to come-back then it was a loss.

When I look back at how I could've helped my team do better, everything that was in-game, couldn't help, and still today, when I look at those situations that I had, there's still nothing I can do to help my team while keeping focus on what I'm doing.

With the addition of Voice-chat to Heroes of the Storm just announced today, I'm hoping that League of Legends, and Riot Games will realize how much voice chat is needed for those solo players and how much it will improve their game.

In defense of "Voice-Chat will increase Toxicity". There's a mute function in every game, and after playing Overwatch for the last year, I've not had any problems rising from Plat to Masters just through communication. Imagine if we had these low silver players in League, shot calling and becoming the next Hai... it's something I will continue to wait patiently for while I play other games with in-game voice chat.

TL;DR - Voice Chat would make the game better, allow people who can shot-call to rise in the ranks, and make this Team-Oriented game better for us solo-players.

I think it has more to do with AD being strong than AP.

When AP was strong Assassin's knew their role. To kill AP carries. AP could also keep ADC in check or stand there own ground late game. Now AP burst is way way way down from the past. This has lead to ADCs and tank being rules of LOL. Adc's being strong means that everyone needs to protect them. Tanks means you need team place to take them down or peel for adc.

So here we are today. To win a team fight as AP you need the rest of your team to help you take down the target. Adc's can just run things everything with sustained burst. Also AP has sustain during other season. This lead them to standing in lane longer and getting more exp/gold. Now you only have AD with sustain.

Some may agree and other not. But is AD get it added to there auto attacks them AP has to be stronger. Also look at all the new things Ad will get .15 while ap is .1. or 25%ad to 15% ap. All of this moves AD power curve to hit sooner. So AP strong mid game is gone. they don't have too much of an advantage early. So its a tie early to maybe AP strong but after 3 or 4 and one item AD because strong for the rest of the game. that is just my 2 cents.

Season 1, I played AP Janna mid, which got me to 1680~ which was basically Plat. Season 2, I played anything with True Damage/HP% because tanks were prominent. Season 3, I played a lot of Jayce because of his ability to push quickly and open the map when you played him mid.

The point of this topic though is there's one constant issue since Season 3 that balancing can't fix and that is this game requires a TON of communication that pinging/typing ect. cannot deal with. I can send a "Missing Ping" bot, but who is missing? I can send a danger ping mid... but in danger of who? There's no way at the moment to know if it's the Blitzcrank I should be worried about or the Jungler if I'm in lane.

If we had voice chat, I could literally say "Bot be careful, ChampionX is coming and ChampionZ is MIA too" rather than me just pinging my lane so they know the severity of the incoming gank and can adjust their play accordingly.
