I don't get it bronze- lcs he is the most popular champ why imo there are better supps and supps that can do better than him in lane and late why is he so popular

not that hes fun its that hes overloaded thresh is the epiphany of supports his q- sets up shit and can get easy picks his w- save whoever the fuck you want his e- stop half of the mobility in the game, easy peel and can follow up from his q his r- does good damage and has good zoning potential throw that with scaling armor out the wazoo and extra dmg from hispassive gives him the most overloaded support kit

Because he is fun. People tend to play fun champions over good champions. Plus, he is a very good solo queue champion so if you're good with him its the best of both worlds right now.

Really I never found him fun if I tell you who is fun and imo better in every way is bard he is so unique and different and changed the supp role up I may be biased as im a bard one trick tho

Personal taste and preference are what I and others use to decide what I like.

But thresh is really fun when you use him right. Landing god-prediction/10 how and yelling madlife is the best. When I was playing support in S5 silver 4 people were so hype about my hooks and predictions I felt so proud.

I got Madlife as my nickname and had people telling I was SUCH A GREAT support.

Those were the days ^^

People tend to be drawn to playing champions that are frequently played in the LCS , which would include Thresh! You mentioned him being played a lot in bronze? Bronze players want out of their ELO as every rank does, in order to climb many of them not all, will pick champions played in the LCS simply because it's assumed to be the best at the time and potentially could help them win more often. If people get good at playing him and know what they are doing a lot more plays can be made opposed to playing some of the other supports so those are a few ways it makes him really popular~.

In short whatever is played during the LCS will inevitably become popular since those players are considered the best! Thresh has a lot of potential in the game to change how fights may or may not turn out which gives people a lot of room to learn his mechanics and adapt that to his/her own play style~.

Each champion has their own specialty, Thresh is just more often picked than not because to a lot of people he's enjoyable and he's not at all a bad pick! Support alone doesn't get a lot of love because people get bored easily so perhaps playing thresh keeps them more focused on the game IMO.

I play Thresh because I love landing Q's. Same reason I mained Nidalee for a while. It's fun getting called a scripter.

Tbh his kit is very useful... massive amounts of cc, and play potential and with the new relic shield reward his passively gained shield makes him more tanky and further adds to his kit. Not to mention the fact that he's the most tanky ranged support you can play, allowing you to win trades vs other ranged and melee supports without much taking much yourself
