The 99LP problem....

Everyone that has ever played ranked knows of this bullsh*t. YOu have 76LP, win an amazing ranked game and u get 23Lp instead of 24. Couldn't Riot round this to a 100 or something because it sucks to have to play 1 more game for just 1 LP.

Basically because that's a never ending cycle. If you want to round up by 1, then someone will want you to round up by 2. If you want to round up by 5, someone will want you to round up by 10.

the better question is why have promos in the first place. you've clearly won enough to warrant you to chance going up a tier, but now rito says you need to win at least 3/4 of your next 4 games to actually go up, thats substantially better and consistent than being marginally better than your peers.

id rather see "accumulate 150lp" and go up so that people with say 60% win rates can get out of their tier faster and more reliably.

i believe people are better than where they sit because of the system, people dont have the time to play 400 ranked games to accurately meet their proper spot.

The 98LP problem....

Everyone that has ever played ranked knows of this bullsh*t. YOu have 76LP, win an amazing ranked game and u get 22Lp instead of 23. Couldn't Riot round this to a 99 or something because it sucks to have to play 1 more game for just 1 LP.

If you would do that you might as well just lower the lp to get promos to 99 instead of 100, but then you'll have the same problem with people stuck at 98 lp.

They wouldn't have to tell you that you wet gonna get up to 98-99 w/e It would just put you in promos.

Idk if anyone else has experienced this issue, but my client didnt start up my league match 2 games in a row last month so i was put on a lower priority Queue for 5 games. about a month later after begin stuck with absolute horrid teams since I got to gold 1, now i'm gold 3 and now riot tells me my account status has improved. So only now am i getting fair matches in ranked. TY riot for fucking my ranked climb up because of your client.

The 99LP isn't the problem. The whole system is a problem.

Having to win 3/4 or 4/6 is too much to ask in a game with so many variables. (yes the math is right. You have to win to get to 100 first, then win the series).

I'd like to see promos removes within the division (V to I) and a more structured promotion for the division jump. IE only have people who are also in their series play in the best of 5. Or at least try to make this happen as best as possible. I realize that this is more unlikely the higher in rank you go.

It's frustrating, yeah but, curiously enough, I've found that the LP isn't exactly wasted, as if you lose your Promo's, you end up with a much higher LP number than otherwise.

Also what the other guy said, slippery slope is slippery.

I feel this is more of a problem with clarity, since you never know how much LP you will win/lose, which is one of the reasons why I HATE being at 0LP and I get an urge to win at least one to have a confirmed cushion.

You guys are lucky to get 99 LP. Everytime I get 90+ LP I get a streak of 3-5 horrible teams and have to earn all my LP back again. After about 40 ranked games I'm still in Bronze 2 due to new system and I haven't been in a series once.

Sure it is annoying but LP doesn't even matter in the long run. What matters is you're elo/mmr, even though your LP was one short, you gained what was most important, more elo. You'll earn more LP the higher your elo is and therefor climb faster in the long run.
