Would Solo Queue REALLY kill Dynamic Queue?

While the rage for Solo Queue is still ongoing, I've been doing a little research on both Queues. Below I will show the pros and cons of both Queues and what could potentially happen if both try to coexist. The Champion Select system(old and new) will not be considered in this OP. While you listen, enjoy 10 hours of smooth jazz.

Note: Data is ONLY from what I was able to gather.

Solo Queue:

Pros:

  • Focused on a single player's skill and ability to work with 3-4 complete strangers.

  • MMR was more separate and somewhat easier to calculate.

  • LCS teams were able to find more fresh players for their teams by observing their games. (Needs confirmation)

  • Players are more likely convinced that others obtained their rank themselves.

  • Less chance of players feeling they are not contributing if their team is winning.

Cons:

  • Duo Queue.

  • Duo Queue could potentially give them more power over the rest of the team such as then taking Top/JG, Mid/JG, or Bot/JG along with 2 votes to surrender or not and reporting, and flaming.

  • Duo Queue players are likely not going to communicate with the rest of the team or focus their help ONLY to each other. (IE JG camping mid or top because they're Duo Queue)

  • Players could only Duo Queue with players 1 tier from their own rank IE: Silvers can only Duo Queue with Golds or Bronzes.

  • Duo Queue messes with the MMR between the 2 players which can match them with players who are either stronger than 1 member or weaker than the other.

  • Long Queue due to lack of Supports.

  • Trolls. Highest amount of trolls was 2 due to Duo premades. Potential amount could go higher if said troll(s) convinces more players in the team.

  • The accusation of Boosting due to Duo Queue.

  • Matchmaking on occasion makes mistakes and matches high MMR players against low MMR players.

Dynamic Queue:

Pros:

  • Players are given access to form premades from 2-5 players, forming a duo, triple, quad, or penta premade.

  • Shorter Queue time.

  • More teamwork through premades who usually have third party voice programs(IE Skype/Vent/Teamspeak)

  • Players can only make a premade with players 1-2 sub-ranks from each other. IE Silver 3s can only queue with Silver 5s or Silver 1s.

  • IP bonuses for being part of a premade.

Cons:

  • Higher potential amount of trolls. Instead of 2, players are now likely to deal with groups of 3-4 more trolls.

  • Premades potentially have even MORE power over the team than in Solo Q. Instead of only 2 roles being taken, 3 or 4 more roles can be taken by the premades during champion select via threatening to afk/troll/feed if members of the premades decide to change their mind or only selected said role for a faster queue.

  • Solo players potentially have the odds stacked against them as they would likely feel threatened by the premades who have more power over Surrendering, Team Flaming, and Reporting. (IE 3-4 man premades has 3-4 votes to either surrender or not surrender)

  • MMR has a harder time calculating a player's individual skill due to being "carried"(needs confirmation)

  • MMR is forced to mix 3-4 man premade's MMR and try to match them with similarly skilled players, resulting in either matching them with stronger or weaker players.

  • Higher chance of accusations of Boosting due to higher amounts of players a premade can have.

  • Queue time is still long due to Support being undesirable.

  • Solo players are almost REQUIRED for any premade to get into a match.

  • Solo players are more likely to feel left out due to premades performing so well, the former could not do anything to contribute, creating an unsatisfying victory.

  • 2-4 man premades can potentially ignore the Solos via communication and focus their help only to their premade members. (IE 2-4 man premades pushing each lane and putting everyone on the enemy team behind)

  • Solo players likely would feel cheated from being defeated by a premade team.

SO with that stuff out of the way lets come up with some outcomes if both queues try to coexist.

The biggest outcome players agree on is that many Solo players will flock back to Solo Queue, giving premades longer queue times due to lack of Solos. But if we do the match....

**Duo Queue: **Requires 2-3 Solos, another Duo, or a 3-man premade.

Triple Queue: Requires 1-2 Solos or a Duo Queue.

**Quad Queue: **Requires 1 Solo. Will be forced to either break up into smaller premades or find a 5th player of similar sub-ranking.

**Penta Queue: **Nothing. Why the hell are you reading this? Don't you have a match to play?

Of the 4 premades, only 4-man actually REQUIRES a Solo player. 2 and 3 man premades can potentially queue with each other. In conclusion, 4-man premades would suffer the most, having the most trouble finding a match due to the rarity of Solo players. Players in Solo Queue would feel a significantly longer queue time due to premade players being in Dynamic Queue.

In the end, 4 man premades will likely hate this the most, while 2-man, 3-man, and Solos could maybe cope with the slightly longer queue time.

If you have more information to add or wish to comment, feel free to discuss in the comment section as your contributions could change the OP.

Yes, which is the exact reason why Riot hasn't released it.

dynamic lack balance in both game and ladder.

is not viable as a ranked mode, is nothing more than a upgraded normal.

Pick one.

Duo Queue: Requires 2-3 Solos, another Duo, or a 3-man premade.

Apparently 2+2=5.
