Vladimir feels just so strong for me. I can win my lane every single time with 2-3 champions but I haven't won a single lane against a Vladimir. You trade with him after he uses his q but he still outtrades you. If his hp is a bit low he can just life steal in 2 sec from minions and be full hp again. Because he is ranged he can farm better than you as well if he has a bit of experience with the champ. Plz nerf him or just tell me how to play against him...
Ahpe7 votesHis early game is weak unless you don't stay away from his Crimson Rush. I'll just give you a screenshot to help explain.
His resource bar turns orange when he almost has it and it turns red when it's active. He can hold onto it for 2 1/2 seconds so it's not as oppressive as Yasuo tornado.

is useless against Vlad, he will never auto you and get inflicted with GW to begin with, also, it has armor, which doesn't reduce Vlad's damage (that is magic).

The main issue is that Morellonomicon is too expensive and there is not any AP item with lower price that inflict grievous wounds, so meanwhile you build Morellonicon which takes a lot of time, Vladimir can harass you however he wants. He will outtrade you, he will get you low hp and you have to return base and when you come he won't let you farm and he will keep doing the same until you buy that item. I have played against a lot of Vladimirs and when your are under tower, they go take the shot and Q you. They don't mind losing hp because their lifesteal is absurd and they get full hp instantly, so you can't farm in lane, under tower, nowhere if the Vladimir knows how to play good. That applies to most Mages and midlaners. AD users at least can buy a cheap item which can fight lifesteal, but AP users loose lane by default.
At the time you finally can buy Morellonomicon you would have lost a lot of cs if the Vladimir is good and you won't be able to outdamage him because he scales pretty good. He won't leave you farm even under tower.
The only way you win that matchup as an AP user is if your jungler is good and plays with the team, if not Good Luck.

You will miss a lot of minions so that makes it even harder to get the item. And even if you buy it, it has to be the first item so you won't any damage for a long while...
aezens4 votesA good vlad player will use crimson rush to zone you from cs because someone thought "don´t be in range" is a good counterplay. Alot of people want to tell me he has a weak early but I don´t consider a lv 1 point and click spell with 200 damage as weak.
However the main "counterplay" healing reduction isn´t that much of a counter in laningphase. + 
= 4300 gold investment. Thats at least 10 - 15 min into the game depending on your success. And aside from maybe midlane

In general there is not much you can punish, considering his late game scaling, besides picking and hoping he is stupid enought to feed you with one of the safest midlaner you can play. Even hard push isn´t a counter because 
waveclear is far from bad either. It just prevents him from killing you because you keep his spells on cooldown.. unless you run out of mana for some reason...

When facing a vladimir I like to pick 
in midlane and win lane easily.
Alternativly you can pretty much pick any mage, hard shove the wave and bind him to his turret cause he can hardly match the wavelcear of most midlaners. This lane priority can be used to establish vision and allow your jungler to get pretty much every scuttle crap, since the enemy jungler can't contest it when vlad is forced to hug his tower.
Yes things will get really difficult when he gets ahead, but that's similar to alot of other champions.

charge attack1 voteszed does very well against vladimir, especially earlier in the game. His pool CD > your W cd and you can abuse that to get a kill.
After 6 if he ever uses his pool then he's dead meat. You also have more waveclear than him. As long as you avoid his third Q you'll be fine.
Idk about Akali and Katarina, but I would think that Akali wins against him too.

His waveclear sucks until he grabs a Protobelt and puts a few points in E. Then pretty much he starts matching some mages in waveclear and even outperforms others. I'm with OP on this one. Red succman needs a bit of a nerf. Nothing too overboard. I've never been a fan of nerfing champions to irrelevance. That's just poor game design.

Recon12122 votesAnd then his late game, the pinnacle of gameplay. Insanely short cooldowns coupled with an invulnerability with immense amount of healing. Seeing a fed Vlad is one of the scariest things in the game cause you know no matter how much damage you deal, it'll all just come back as soon as it went away.
And oh that damage, fucking forget about killing him before he one shots you with a E Q E. I don't know the exact numbers but I'm pretty sure both E and Q have under a 3 sec CD and bot can do upwards of 500 dmg a piece, it's really fun seeing someone run at you and just hit you with everything cause other than being too far away you can't dodge it.
