Favourite hero?

Hello guys. I merged from HoN about 2 weeks ago and leveling my way to 30 at the moment(which takes forever if you play 2-3 games per day).

Anyway, i have absolutely no clue about what heroes i should buy and try out. I already got Diana, Twitch and Anivia which was fun. Twitch is superfun, but he feels nerfed. Diana is awesome, and Anivia would be alot more fun if we had a longer range on that ice wall, but w/e. I tried some heroes on the free-to-play but most of them feel boring. (Vayne, Ashe, Master Yi ><)

List your favourite heroes, their roles and builds.

well, if you want to be out-of-the-ordinary and have natural trolliness, choose Singed, I did when I was climbing to 30. However, I must add that you wil not learn ANY mechanical skill while playing him (this hit me hard), as his difficulty is more in decision making/positioning because his abilities are:

Q: toggle on/off poison trail

W: point and click aoe slow

E: point and click fling

R: mega buff button

chat: /l

Also, some people find his play style boring, but I find it entertaining watching people chase you while they die. Also, his laugh...best aspect about him, you MUST spam it while playing him. I would recommend learning the basic mechanics of game before playing him, but if you have the mechanics down, give em a shot!

Try Ekko, Yasuo and Fizz, they are fun, but all die fast, if focused. Other fun champions - Ziggs, Ezrael (AP build), Riven.

If you wanna go on the mage side, I would recommend Lux . She is really fun to play, has a lot of range (she can literally instaburst people from over walls), great utility (snare, slow, shield, vision) and many skillshots. Skill Order is R > E > Q > W, Build would be item 3174 item 3020 item 3089 item 3285 item 3135 item 3157 (start with item 1056item 2003 item 2003 and sell item 1056 when you need the space).

Playstyle: In lane, poke with your E (should be pretty easy to hit; you can hit E again while it is flying to make it explode at the destination instantly) and proc your passive if he comes close enough (but dont go too near; you should mostly stay away from your opponent as Lux). If he tries to engage on you, snare him with Q, autoattack, then create a gap. If your opponent gives you the chance to hit an easy Q, do it, walk up to him and autoattack, then hit E and another autoattack. That should chunk him for a lot of health. Your Ult has a rather low cooldown, so if you hit Q post-6, just fire it off while hes snared and he will be at least halflife. Now you can zome him really hard.

Later on, when you have enough AP, you can usually kill the squishy targets with Q - double E - R (- autoattack).

Greetings Stiv

Thanks for the replies, it's appreciated.

I just bought Vel'Koz and he's a blast. The ulti is dominating if you can crowd 3-4 people in a forest corridor. Never tried Diana forest but that sounds fun, Quinn is abit strange - her crow ulti (the first one) is just completely stupid cause you dont go any tank items on her.

Lux was really fun! The ulti is big as hell, and your still supporting which is great.

Favourite heroes are Phantom Lancer, Silencer and Omnikn- Ohhhh! You mean champions?

That would be Wukong, Braum, Quinn and Malzahar.

Jokes aside.

Twitch is sub-par on his role as ADC right now, you are right. Diana Jungle with Runeglaive (new "OP" item) is really really strong.

Vayne can create some very epic outplays with her tumble and invisibility. She is one of those ADCs that can consistenly 1v5 in a match once she gets there (and if you're good enough). Ashe is a good starter but not very interesting to play imo. MasterYi is a snowball reliant jungler. Vayne, Ashe and Master Yi are heavily basic attack reliant for damage. Could be a clue to which champions you don't like. Meaning you'd rather play champions who source more of their damage from abilities rather than 80% basic attacks.

Glass Cannon Top Lane MonkeyKing. item 2041 + item 2003 + item 2004 + is a good start because Wukong has no sustain.

item 3074 + item 3035 + item 3071 + item 3110 + item 1305 + item 3156 is the most average build that I take on him. I like to think I've played him for a long time and know what to do with him.

Max 40% CDR for more Cyclones. Decent Lifesteal. Cut right through tanks with % armor shred. 100 Armor and AoE Attack Speed debuff on anyone you get near. 45 MR (I think) and a shield to protect you and your clone from dying Hue. Swiftness lets me travel for longer whilst invisible. With Furor + Rage Passive lets me move super quick.

Generally your job is to go into a teamfight and knock as many people up as you can with your ultimate - Cyclone. Wukong is fun with his Decoys because you can bait almost any summoner spell or ability if you're clever enough resulting in enemies wasting all their "good stuff" on it. Ability Priority is: R > E > Q > W

Braum support is one of the tankiest support you can get. item 3302 + item 2044 + item 2003 + item 2004 + item 3340.

item 3401 + item 2045 + item 3143 + item 3102 + item 1329 + item 3068 is an example but honestly it's very flexible because teams can either be magic damage reliant or physical damage reliant. Other items that are good are: item 3190 + item 3110 + item 3075

In lane phase what you're supposed to do is to bodyguard your ADC if you're against a poke composition. However don't cower and let yourself be oppressed 100% of the time. A good strategy to initiate is to jump (W) on an ally minion that is close to the enemy ADC and start stacking your passive with your Q and AAs. Your ADC needs to help stack it so that you deal "free" damage on the target. You can block any skillshot in the game with your E. Including Ezreal ultimates, Caitlyn ultimates, Nami ultimates, Riven ultimates, etc. A clever trick - if you're under allied tower and the enemy ADC is basic attacking it - is to shield in front of your tower and block the enemy ADCs basic attacks. If the ADC isn't careful he/she will get attacked by your tower. This is because you're "under attack" and is getting hit by the enemy ADC basic attacks. Your ultimate knock up is higher if they are right next to you. Get tanky because your best place is to be the body guard of your carries. If the enemy team isn't focussing your carries then your job is to be the initiator. Mobility boots help with deep warding and escaping bad or lost teamfights.

My name says it all.

But some of my other favorites are Quinn, Darius, and Ekko.

Quinn, usually a typical AD carry build, just glass cannon with high damage.

Darius, rush 1 damage item to maximize his brutal early game. Then straight tank since he scales badly.

Ekko, just magic damage assassin stuff. Burst someone down, ult out of the fight.
